Hotel under renovation- pool CLOSED and breakfast unavailable. This was not communicated at any point until we checked in. We traveled with small children and selected this location for the pool and breakfast. We requested a discount, front desk offered a 20% discount but then didn’t know how to enter it. Instructed to call the manager the next day, she was unavailable when I called.

I chose certain filters for this hotel, most importantly a bar/restaurant as we were stopping there after a 12 hour drive. When we arrived at 8:00 pm. I was advised that the bar/restaurant was closed for renovations. That also meant no breakfast available. Extremely Disappointing.

Room had a horrible smell, pool was closed due to Health Inspector concerns, breakfast buffet was a room with hot plates, towels were a rare commodity, everything was new and cheaply done.

The hotel is under construction/renovation on the bar and restaurant. They don’t say anything about this in the booking process. We stayed on Jan 3, 2026. A bit of a disappointment. The deadbolt on the room was not able to lock because it was misaligned with the door frame.

Our room had been deodorized with a spray called Blunt. This is a deodorizing spray normally used in cars. It is very concentrated and also has CBD oil as an ingredient. It caused our eyes to burn and coughing. We were moved to another room, thank goodness. We discussed this with the manager on duty the next morning and she informed us that this spray had been used. Otherwise we would not have known what was going on. She apparently was aware that the cleaning staff had used this spray. We won't return to this Holiday Inn.
