The hotel has a lot of potential to be one of the best, but at the moment it ain’t too much mole, and bathrooms has leaks. The staff is 5 stars, but the property is 2 stars the location is perfect
The property was clean and convenient. The staff was very helpful when it came to our questions and just making sure we were well informed for our trip to Machu Picchu.
It was a very unique property with a very nice vibe! The room had an amazing view and that was a huge factor. The room was clean and it does have lodge vibes...very simple and very nice! The girls were very sweet and packed breakfast for us as we had a 4 am hike. The water was super hpt which is amazing and towels were nice and clean :) we had a few requests and the stuffed satisfied them all in a timely manner :) great place to stay for one night :)
This property was right in the trees and was beautiful outside. There are a lot of stairs to get to the room we stayed in so not something anyone with health or physical restrictions would want to try. The room had a slightly musty smell but overall was good. The staff is amazing.
Room is comfortable, great value, friendly staff, very helpful. I travel often and sleep soundly. I have no issues with any thing with this stay. Things to note that could impact some guests. There are several steps (50+) to climb before reaching the property. The property is close to the restaurant and some guests drink late so noise could impact your visit.
Overall, it was a great experience, it almost had a glamping vibe. The setup was extremely simple, but that was honestly the best part. We were able to get a great night's sleep while listening to the rain or the sounds of forest wildlife.
The only downside was that it got pretty humid, but leaving the windows open helped a lot. The customer service was excellent, and I really appreciated how minimal and peaceful everything was. I truly felt connected to nature.
This property is really cute. It’s tucked away from the main area, so it’s really quiet. The people who run Tree House are very nice, friendly, and helpful. Be warned, you need to go up some stairs to get there. The breakfast is good, with fruit, meat, eggs, coffee, bread, cereals etc. The beds are very comfortable. The shower has good pressure, and hot water. The only thing is that it’s quite humid, and if you have bad allergies, they may act up. But it is worth it for the peace and quiet!

Unique location set in the foresty mountain side, you climb a flight of stone stairs to reach this stay. It would’ve been a cool experience but our “luxury double room” smelt of sewage gasses due to the lack of P-traps, the shower was cramped and moldy, spider and bugs were sharing the room with us, the WiFi didn’t work after the first night, and a rooster went off around 4am each morning..
The only pros were hot water with good pressure and breakfast was included but I honestly wish I had stayed somewhere else

Unique idea of rooms going up the hill but they were very basic, especially for the price. There was mold in the bathroom and the bedroom was damp and musty even with a dehumidifier in there. No soundproofing so we could hear our neighbors talking and walking and could hear a TV on late at night too. I wish we had chosen somewhere more comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Note: there are LOTS of stairs to get here! Be prepared to carry your bags a long way uphill. Breakfast was delicious - fresh fruit, eggs, bread, yogurt. We were able to leave our bags at reception while we climbed Machu Picchu but were shocked to find them unattended in an empty reception when we got back.

I’ll start with the good parts:
If you’re a heavy sleeper, this place might actually be great for you. It has a beautiful view and everything inside is generally well maintained. The bed and bathroom were very clean — and even though I have sensitive skin, I had no issues here, which I really appreciated!
Now for the downsides:
The biggest problem, especially for anyone who needs proper rest, is the location — there’s a chicken farm right behind the property. Two roosters start crowing around 3 a.m., and if you plan to wake up early for Machu Picchu, just know your sleep will be interrupted long before your alarm. One rooster has an incredibly loud call, while the other sounds like it’s losing its voice — the combination made it impossible to sleep after 3 a.m…I got a very poor sleep
As for cleanliness, while the main areas were fine, smaller details could definitely be improved. I often stepped on dead insects, and when I pulled the curtain, a dried-up insect fell from behind it.
Communication was also a challenge since the front desk staff didn’t speak English, making it hard to coordinate or clarify things. And though I booked a Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and Mountain View, I was given a triple room without a balcony instead.
Overall:
I’m a bit doubtful about the high ratings this place has. That said, if you can overlook the noise issue, the rest of the experience isn’t too bad
Staff was super helpful, view was so cool, room was so great albeit the spiders that came out at night! A can of raid would go a long way! Yes it’s the beginning of the Amazon and you expect to see stuff outside the windows, but there were BIG spiders inside that kept us from sleeping because we’re big babies! If you’re afraid of spiders, maybe look elsewhere. If you aren’t, you’ll enjoy this place so much!
Great room, hot shower with great pressure, great breakfast included, friendly staff, and they held our backs safe while we did Machu Picchu. No complaints!

Our room had no hot water, so they moved us to a room with heat but no tpilet seat or t I ilet paper, so they moved us again. Problem was, it was 20 steps up for each room change, and it already took 60 steps up to even enter the lobby. Staff was great, but overwhelmed and out of theor league, but they were so friggin nice that it was hard to complain.
The room itself was wonderful and exactly as described, what you cannot see from the pictures is the many high buildings that are around it and can see into the top floor of the room if the curtains are not drawn which somewhat dampens the majesty and feeling of being in wilderness that you feel when looking at the mountains from your bed. There are a lot of homes near and around the property and the occupants were quite loud throughout the night. Aguas Calientes in general is not a particularly nice or quiet town to stay in but it is the jumping off point for Machu Picchu so not much can be expected. We had hoped to check-in early as we arrived much earlier than anticipated and so were a little disappointed that they could not allow us to check-in before 2pm, as most hotels and places we stayed have been flexible with that, Tree house Lodge however was not. The staff were otherwise great, the restaurant was also wonderful! We were pleased with our stay overall and would stay again in the future!
The property is basically as it describes itself under the title "house tree" with of course all the basic facilities and amenities, bedroom, private bathroom with shower etc. Do not expect a high class hotel, neither luxuries, its pretty simple and basic. Bring some ear tampons because next door there is a rooster that will wake you up like at 4 am and wont stop yelping for the next few hours. Also if you have trouble walking up stairs you must avoid this hotel, you must walk up stairs in order to arrive at the hotel and there is no elevators, at leasf I didnt notice none.
ON THE GOOD SIDE, and this is why I gave them an overall 5 star ratijng, is the environment itself, they manage a jungle concept, beware of spiders and insects, and if you get what I guess they would consider their "suite" youll have an amazing view to the mountains which Ill show on the bottom
Pedimos la habitación principal por mi cumpleaños pero le faltaba mucha luz , me salieron ronchas y las escaleras muy peligrosas, me quedé con muy mal sabor de boca
