  • One church you should not miss is the elegant 1363 Armenian Cathedral with its ancient-feeling interior. The placid cathedral courtyard is a maze of arched passageways and squat buildings festooned with intricate Caucasian detail. Stepping into the courtyard feels like entering another era – gravestones bearing inscriptions in the 54 letters of the Armenian alphabet pave the floor.   • Lovely view of old Lviv from the top of the tower in the center of Ploscha Rynok. That's the Latin Cathedral, one of the oldest still-active churches in the city. To climb the tower, go up the first four flights of stairs to the ticket desk. The way is clearly marked with signs in multiple languages, including English. At the desk, pay 10 hrivna and then keep climbing up, up, and up until you reach the open deck at the top of the tower. Then enjoy the view!

  • Located on St. George Hill, over-looking the city of Lviv, the church was the perfect target for destruction in the past. At least two versions of the St. George Cathedral were built before the final construction of the church as it is seen today. The Cathedral of St. George became the mother congregation of the Greek-Catholic religion in Ukraine. The St. George Cathedral in Lviv, is home to one of the most treasured relics, which was brought to the cathedral by Bishop Jiseph Shumlianskyi in 1674. It is the Icon of the Virgin Mary, and is a spectacular and preserved artifact. The interior was decorated with luxurious embellishments created by the local artistic talents of Lviv. Pinsel, the sculptor of the cathedral, created the spectacular St. George (known as the Dragon Slayer) statue. The St. George statue can be viewed in the attic of the cathedral, while the intimidating statues of St. Athanasius and St. Leo protect the portal. Renovations to the St. George Cathedral took place in the 1996, restoring the original beauty of the cathedral. Tourists, visiting this amazing historical masterpiece will not be disappointed. Over and above the cathedral, visitors can also visit the belfry, walk through the peaceful gardens or enter the final resting place of many important figures of the past in the tombs below the cathedral.

Staing in Lviv.

We got a small room in the heart of Downtown. It was clean and cozy. Bedsheets were fresh. Shower a bit tight, but clean and did the job. This hotel is surrounded by restaurants, walking distance to historic places. Overall, it was a great stay for the price.

Lovely hotel in great location!!

Really nice hotel in a perfect location. Our only moans was the noise of other guests up and down the stairs, and the size of the duvet on the bed - wasn't quite big enough to comfortably stretch between 2 people.

Misleading

Resturant doesnt open for breakfast until 10 am. Staff have no interest in the guests at all except for one young lady. Will not book here again, lots of other places that are better value in Lviv.

Only good location.

In general, ok. No lift, so if you have a big suitcase, you may struggle to get it to the fourth floor. They didn't clean up the room very well, no chnage of toilet and shower stuff. Even new Towels had some blood or brown stains on, very old towels... Anyways, I guess it was a budget hotel, in Lviv hotel prices are usually over priced.... Not good

Great budget hotel - but don't get the middle room

Very, very central location for a very reasonable price. Good service at the reception desk and breakfast was fine. Clean room and hotel in general, good wifi and late checkout including the option to store our bags, which was all very nice. The biggest downside was the location of our room (304). The room must have been centered in the middle of the building, because the only window we had, was one to the hallway (wherefore there was noise in the morning and light coming through the curtain, when people turned on the light in the hallway). If you don't get this room (or similar like 404 probably), we can for sure recommend this budget hotel.

Great hotel in a convenient location. Guests cannot take a taxi directly to the front of the hotel, because it is on a pedestrian walkway. However, you can catch a taxi about a 1 minute walk away. Staff were helpful and room was clean. No complaints.

great location, very nice and helpful hotel staff. The rooms and bathrooms very large with kitchenettes. Comfort bed. The disadvantage is sometimes the lack of hot water in the sink or shower. I do not recommend breakfast, not so many things to eat and there was a lack of places at the tables. Breakfasts are also bought by people from outside the hotel/ restaurant, then there is no places and food for hotel guests.

Awesome find

Amazing little boutique hotel right in the city center. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. My only complaint is that they were sold out when I wanted to stay another night.

Hotel w samym centrum miasta- pokoje przestronne, czyste i fajnie urządzone, bardzo wygodne łózko . Pokoje codziennie sprzątane , wymieniane ręczniki i uzupełniana woda w butelkach. Na korytarzu dystrybutory z woda z której można korzystać. Pokój wyposażony w czajnik ( kawa, herbata, cukier), lodówkę, suszarkę do włosów, sejf oraz dużą szafę. We got in the middle of renovations whereby a chainsaw was used inside the building!!! This created toxic fumes and we asked for a window room. If the staff did not play dumb about it, I would be more inclined to give a better rating. But the banging and chainsaw contiued, but we got better air once room changed to a window room.
