"This place was perfect for a poor bike rider like me. The lady in charge was super sweet and helpful. The place was only a few km from town with all the stores u need and the room was nice and peaceful with a raging hot shower which was perfect for my sore legs. All around perfect for a single broke traveler who just wanted a peaceful night out of the rain. Highly recommend!!! One of the nicest spots for a broke traveler like myself. Please stop thru and show them some love and support!!!"

"Schönes Zimmer mit antiken Möbeln. Das ganze Hotel hat wunderschöne Bilder von Künstlern aus der Region an den Wänden. Man spürt in jedem Winkel das Wirken der Künstlerkolonie. Nebenan der Barkenhof ist ein Besuch wert. Wir sind sehr oft in Worpswede, weil wir den Ort so lieben. "

"Fikk ikke info på forhånd med kode for å komme inn hoveddøren eller rommet. Nummeret for å komme i kontakt med «resepsjon» fungerte ikke/fikk ikke svar. Ringte tilbake 20 minutter senere fra et helt annet nummer. Vanskelig å få tak i hva koden var fra den som snakket. Rommet var ok, men der var iskaldt! Cheap and hard foam mattress which did not allow for air circulation and instead reflected the body heat back up so I felt I slept on a griddle. Not a single night out of three did I get a good rest.
