Hotel needs a lot of maintenance, many rusted or broken fixtures due to sea blast. Lack of hot water, due to outdated heating system. Location is good. Overall hotel needs upgrades and a lot of investment.

This property is located on the water and has beautiful views, along with a golf course. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The Wi-Fi is great. The property is a little dated and could use some serious updates but the rooms are very clean and well-kept. What would really make this property outstanding is if they would invest in removing the seaweed from the beach so guests can enjoy it and clean the windows in the main lobby especially so the ocean view is clearly visible. Other than that, I’ll definitely be visiting again.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this resort. The facilities are a little dated, but the staff was great and the rooms were very clean. There is no ATM on the property, so it’s best to get cash in town before arriving. Views were breathtaking, pools were great and restaurants were ok. Overall, I highly recommend and will be going back again next year.

Very relaxing stay but property can do with an upgrade, elevators on the North Wing not operational, damage to ceiling, no one came to assist with bags for check out after three calls to front desk requesting same. Due to no elevators working on the said Wing, and ceiling damage that caused the normal path to be interrupted ( lots of up and down stairs to reach back Front Desk carrying your own luggage). Main pool was also closed majority of the day on the 21st Sep ( a sunday) which would normally be a busy pool day. I enjoyed the room, the beautiful and peaceful views. I enjoyed the buffet style breakfast. Will stay again but I am hopeful that this Hotel does the necessary upgrades and improves with respect to service.

Overall, we had a great experience with a variety of dining and a lovely environment. The only thing reason for not saying it was excellent is for something beyond the control of the management - the natural sargassum bloom around the east coast tends to give a pungent scent. However, the hotel seems to be able to reduce the odor indoors.

The room I stayed in was quite dated and in need of some modernization. The overall facility also seemed to require updating to match the standards of a contemporary resort. On a positive note, the breakfast was satisfactory, offering a decent variety of options to start the day. However, the overall ambiance and amenities could benefit from a refresh to enhance the guest experience.

This was my first trip to Trinidad & Tobago, and while it started a bit rough with a very unpleasant immigration officer (not part of the hotel!), the rest of my experience made up for it. The hotel itself was nice, clean, and very peaceful. The staff really made the difference — special thanks to Rhonda and Justine at the front desk who were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. There was also a lovely lady in charge of the activities who was super sweet, though I didn’t catch her name because I wasn’t feeling well at the time. I had read previous reviews mentioning a smell near the beach, and yes, it’s there. It seems to be from sea moss in the area. It’s not a deal-breaker for the hotel, but it does affect the beach experience. Luckily, the hotel offers a free shuttle to nearby beaches, which made up for it. Some parts of the hotel were under construction, including the kids’ park, which was disappointing because we were expecting more kid-friendly activities. Breakfast was okay — the banana bread stood out as my favorite. Pros: Calm, quiet environment Super friendly and helpful staff Shuttle to local beaches Clean and generally well-kept Cons: No water bottles in the room (not sure if we were supposed to ask) Hotel was fully booked, so towels were limited at times Room setup is standard even if you book for a specific number of guests — you need to request extra towels/beds/etc., but staff is very accommodating about it Overall, it was a relaxing stay, and

Stay Away From This Resort!!!

The minute I got into my room it smells really musky a kind of damped , don’t let me talked about the bathroom towels . First of all my bathroom mats at my home is stark white , so having to used these towels for my body was very disappointing an disgusting, those towels needs to be THROWN OUT like yesterday, The restaurant staffs were so sweet and amazingly pleasant to us . For the price I’ve paid to stay at the Magdalena Resort an to find there isn’t a microwave is beyond useless in these times .
