I was traveling alone and looking for secured parking. I was very happy with the walkable location, loads of places to stash all my "necessities," clean shower, and comfortable bed. I would recommend to a woman traveling alone (or a couple) who want an excellent location. The organic food store nearby was a great find for fresh and cooked foods. The outdoor area was welcoming and well maintained.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 5-day stay at Sanborn Guest House. Gary and Jaime have thought of everything you need for your stay. They are wonderful hosts and really knowledgeable about the local area. I stayed in the Sanborn Room, which is very comfortable and decorated with eclectic items from Gary and Jaime's travels. It's good having the separate sitting area with a lounge, a couple of chairs, and a coffee table, as well as access to the shared kitchen. The off-street secure parking is a bonus as street parking in the area is very tight. The location is top-notch - the street itself is really quiet and safe but it's only a block away from Santa Monica Boulevarde so only a few minutes walk to a diverse range of quality restaurants, cafes and shops. Los Feliz and the lake are also within walking distance. DTLA, Hollywood, Griffith Observatory/Park, Dodger Stadium are all within 10-15 min drive. Would definitely stay again.

Great clean & basic home stay. 2 rooms in a very quiet & safe neighborhood with great places nearby (walkable). Our room was large, great aircond, extra dbl firm comfy bed, plenty of light & curtains, no facilities-but great outdoor area with secure parking, small ensuite -shower & toilet, shared kitchen with all you need, close to Hollywood with bus nearby, approx 1hr from LAX, Beverly Hills and great hosts. Family get away

Went on vacation with family. Owner of the house was helpful and friendly. Basic amenities we needed were provided, plus more (towels, shampoo/soap, tea, coffe). We Stayed in queen bed-room and it was still pretty spacious. House is located in quiet area with a lot of food spots to choose from near by. Good stay overall.

Perfect stay

Great place to live in Silver Lake. The room is very spacious. Having our own bathroom and living room apart of the room, felt like we had are own house in Silver like. The common kitchen, shared with the other guests, was tidy and fully equipped. Nice garden and free parking. The neighbourhood is quite but close by you can find many hip bars and restaurants. We would totally like to stay there again if we come back to LA.

THE BEST stay I've ever had in La. The host was so friendly and knowledgeable. The place itself was private, clean, cute, and a perfect spot for if you're traveling solo. There was every amenity one could dream of; heater, a/c, tv, parking, kitchen use, etc. The vibe here was truly amazing and I looked forward to heading home for the night. I would recommend this place to anyone. It's a great location in the heart of Silverlake with lots of shops and food spots in walking distance. 11/10!
