Absolutley wonderful property. The setting is unmatched. The views unrivaled. Worth the drive and travel 100%. I'll never forget the amazing smell of the evergreens, cedar, and eucalyptus -- that's what all the candles I've ever bought were aiming to mimic but can't beat the real thing. Restaurant was wonderful. The grounds kept beautifully. You won't regret it!

Fantastic stay on the coast. The rooms were perfect sized, with a very comfortable bed, and amazing views. We loved the fireplace in our room, plus the breakfast buffet was amazing. Very dog-friendly. Highly recommend.

Without a doubt, the views and setting are stunning. Our cabin was fantastic, with excellent views of the coast and ocean from both inside and out on the deck. Watching whales pass by was an added bonus. The rooms could benefit from a little updating and TLC. One improvement would be replacing the sliding pocket doors to the bathroom—the recessed handles can make them difficult to open and close, particularly for older guests or anyone with limited finger mobility. We enjoyed cocktails and dinner at the resort’s restaurant. The food, drinks, and spectacular view made for a wonderful evening. The only real disappointment was the breakfast buffet. The pastries and fruit were great, but the hot food was barely edible and fell well short of the standard we expected. Overall, despite the premium price, the resort is well worth a stay. With Mendocino only about ten minutes farther north, there is also a great choice of restaurants and shops nearby.

We had an amazing stay at Heritage House Resort! It was peaceful, beautiful, and exactly what my husband and I needed. We loved that it’s dog-friendly, and the goodie bag for our pup was such a thoughtful touch. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was perfect, and we can’t wait to return!

Excellent place to stay from checking to checkout. Welcomed with cookies and a pleasant conversation, very knowledgeable staff, very nice room with comfortable bed and great pillows. Big screen TV, excellent walk in rain forest shower and great amenities. Views of the ocean are incredible and there is a trail along the cliff down to a beech area. Quiet grounds with plenty of spaces to roam. Sitting deck on each cottage and close to town restaurants and shopping. The restaurant though we had a most enjoyable continental breakfast makes you feel like your in a 5 star place, lots of selections and all are fresh. Additional lattes etc available for a small purchase price. Great work out room and yoga also available. Would definitely stay again.

Just spent three nights in Mendocino at the Heritage House Resort. It was a beautiful resort, and the staff was very welcoming and thoughtful throughout our stay. We went to their spa for treatment and that was wonderful as well. We had rented the two-bedroom cottage, and they made sure we had firewood stacked and ready to light and brought us smores to enjoy one evening. The small touches were many! Their daily breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious with beautiful views from the dining room. I hope to return one day to this very special property.
