A lovely hotel next to the park, quiet. The room was spacious and clean though better lighting was needed.it was a little dark. The bed was large and very comfortable. The sfatt where efficient and friendly. There are plenty of great restaurants near by and loads of small shops, plus a Japanese supermarket and a tambo convenience store. Would happily stay again

Aku is a mid range hotel. Nothing to write home about but friendly staff with clean and tidy rooms. Close to shops and restaurants and a nice big park. Safe area. Cheap bathroom accessories. Very expensive restaurant and bar area. Breakfast also very expensive. Go across the street the cafe is half the price.

The hotel is on the smaller side, but very clean and very helpful staff .. the location is the best .. it's a walking distance to everything and in the heart of San Isidro and next to the "El Olivar" .. an amazing park to rest and walk around .. very safe all the area around it.

The staff there was very understanding and eager to help. When one of my tours got messed up the staff called the tour operator and went to bat for me. Also there is a wonderful park nearby (Barque de Olivar) with large grassed area and lots of olive trees and security. A great walk every morning to get you in the right mood. I plan to return there.

Nice hotel in the San Isidro district. The area around the hotel is fairly quiet (for Lima), and is walkable to some phenomenal restaurants, a nice church, Bosque El Olivar (a beautiful park very near the hotel), and is overall very nice, central, and safe. The hotel itself is pretty modern and well staffed. The room was comfortable and clean (under the bed was a bit dusty, but everything else was fine). Would definitely recommend staying.

Great stay in Lima

We only stayed here two nights, but it was a great stay. The hotel is not very large and it is in a quiet neighborhood. The room was nice and provided plenty of space and we chose the king size bed, which was excellent. It also had air conditioning, which made the sleeping at night better, but the unit was a bit noisy, so we just cooled the room prior to sleeping. The bathroom was good size and we had no issues with hot water or water pressure. We also were provided with regular size towels, as the ones in Cusco were on the smaller size. Our room also offered a kettle and some cups, so we were able to make our own tea in the room. This was a nice touch for us. We had to get the sugar from the dining room downstairs.

Aku is a solid choice in Lima

Had a good stay at Aku, so I stayed here again when I came back to Lima. Pros: Rooms are clean and the AC works well. Staff is nice and very accommodating. Service is very good. The luggage storage is a huge plus. Great neighborhood, next to Bosque El Olivar and tons of coffee shops and restaurants. One of the safest and nicest parts of Lima. Cons: The hotel is nice but a bit outdated. The breakfast is severely lacking, especially for a 4 star hotel.
Outdated iPod speakers in rooms.
The front desk were very accommodating with providing me hangers to hang dry my clothes when the local lavanderia gave them back to me wet.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was on a quiet street so noise pollution was not an issue. Beds were comfortable, and we were able to get additional pillows and blankets to make our sleep even better. Only downfall is that the images for the bedrooms and bathrooms don't always match. Image for the room we booked showed both shower and bath within the bathroom, but when we arrived there was only a shower. A quick talk with the front desk got us another room with only a bath. We were told for the future any specific request for the bathroom to place in the requests box. Now we know for next time.

Based on my person experience and my opinion ONLY. The check in was great! Internet is great! I asked a king sized bed and paid for it; however I was given (2) two twin mattresses merged one with each other. I hate the feel when my body is in the middle of that gap. Hotel located in great area; however I would stay elsewhere. You will hear every person on the floor due to no isolation and cheap room doors. There were construction activities at or about 7:30 in the morning on the street. 3.8 out of 5
