The Colonial House was absolutely perfect in every way. Dawn is an exceptional host—warm, attentive, and truly welcoming. The location is fantastic, close to great shopping and dining, yet the room itself was incredibly calming and serene. It felt cozy, homey, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. This was one of those stays where you immediately feel at ease. I can’t recommend The Colonial House highly enough and will absolutely be staying here again!
This is an amazing home that is filled with beautiful woodwork, fireplaces, stained, glass windows, perfectly decorated, comfy blankets, and extra amenities to make you feel at home. It’s a quick walk to the Diamind. The hostess Dan is fabulous, she is very responsive and easy to work with. She gives you step-by-step directions and is very supportive with any questions you have during your stay. I wish I could spend every weekend here in this adorable home. The downstairs suite is absolutely worth it. It has a huge bed in a separate room. There is a beautiful living room with a fireplace. Highly, highly recommend!
We had a great experience for our first bed and breakfast stay ever! It was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The host was very friendly and hospitable. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area. I was conveniently located a short walk to the town square.

The suite was so unique but very comfortable. The owner was a great host and made sure we had anything she could assist us with. We loved sitting on the front porch in the evenings. The locals walking by either spoke or stopped and chatted a while. So relaxing and so nice to see such friendly people. Only place to stay as far as I’m concerned. Loved it!
Dawn was very kind and made our stay enjoyable and stress-free. The B&B was clean and cute and within walking distance of everything. Would definitely return.
Large, tastefully decorated suite.
Downtown location.
Owner in adjacent building and available upon request
Lovely homemade breakfast delivered to suite.
The manager met us at the door. She was very welcoming and showed me where everything was. We had a two room suite in a lovely old house on Main St. that was close to shops and restaurants.
My sister and I were visiting family in the area and found this lovely place to spend the night. We walked around the small, peaceful town and visited the local stores along our stroll. We were treated to a lovely breakfast the next morning.
Our stay was amazing - Dawn is an extremely considerate and gracious host, the room was charming and comfortable, check-in and out were super easy, and the provided breakfast was delicious. I only wish I could give an 11/10!

B&B was exceptional...enjoyed hostess , breakfast was phenominal. Accomodations very. Nice. Tha k you Dawn
Best bed and breakfast experience (and I seek out B&Bs). The house is well appointed and the owner Dawn is friendly and makes a superb quiche! Breakfast is very satisfying. Love the old fashioned bathtub. The bed was a little soft for us; however, I recognize that is very dependent on the sleeper. The suites are so spacious and comfortable and the view onto the Main Street is awesome with lots of cool shops, bowling alley, great restaurants, and fun coffee shops. Would stay again!
Wanted to love this place because the location is amazing. Super close to all the Main Street stores in Ligonier. The potential is there for this bed and breakfast the be amazing but some major refreshing is needed.
The top tenant for an any hotel are clean, white linens and our room did not have either. Bed linens were old and smelly, the top comforter had a large coffee stain, and the towels were also old and smelly. The room was also very stuffy and dark; when opening window shades we discovered lots of dead flies. We also had issues properly disposing of trash and our breakfast items since our room only had tiny waste baskets. The owner also needs to go through and change out all the old, incandescent light bulbs and granny splitters being used on the electrical outlets — major safety hazard.
I appreciate the attempts at hospitality, but it’s time for deep cleaning, new towels, new linens, new carpeting, and new light bulbs. Amazing location but that’s all.
I enjoyed this Bed and Breakfast on a lovely street in a quiet little town. It was an easy walk to shops and restaurants. The entire area is full of history and architecture. The owner of the house is so sweet, and she brings you an excellent homemade breakfast in the morning!
