I really liked it. The price was very reasonable. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The room was very humble. Nothing super fancy...which I like. Very safe feeling. Close enough to the river. Close enough to other amenities like gas stations, restaurants, and grocery.

Property very good. Arrived late at night and had a bit of trouble with finding key, but finally did find it. Cabin 14 needed some repair work to the bathroom door and the dead bolt did not seat properly to lock. Coffeemaker had a leak and could not be used, but we were only there to sleep and did not really need it.

This is a nice little place in a small town. It’s not fancy or new, but the decor is nice and my room was comfortable. I’d definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

Very centrally located to the nearby State Parks. This is a very basic motel that was perfect for the needs of serving as a base for our activities. It was clean and very practical. If you are looking for fancy..this is not it. If you want practical, this is it. The rooms were spacious and allowed for our family to play our nightly rambunctious game of cards. We visited after Christmas so it was blustery and cold. However they have some great outdoor facilities that would be fun to use during warmer times of the year. There is a Family Dollar store across the highway to help out with the restocking of supplies. For a town of 400 people, there is a very surprising large variety of restaurants to choose from. Other activities that we enjoyed: Star Gazing; Hiking and endless nature photography opportunities. Kerrville and Fredericksburg are 1.5 hr away and have some great dining and shopping options. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely consider staying here again.
