Mamak is a 3-minute walk across from Hotel Asia, super close to the jetty pier and Saturday night market. Water station to refill bottles is much appreciated.

Close to shopping district.

Stayed here for 3 nights as business travelers. Clean hotel. Close to shopping district by walking distance. Next to Balai Polis Cawangan Trafik Langkawi. The staff really helpful if you wish to get a taxi from the hotel. Complementary coffee, tea and bread for breakfast. Please note there were no fridge and wardrobe provided in the room. Only basic amenities such as a water heater, coffee & snack, towels and hangers. Since i book Superior Double Without Window (room 107) the room quite small for me to pray and the kiblat was pointing to entrance door. I have to squeeze & do some adjustment to pray. The TV channel should be update & listed more. Just basic TV1, TV2, TV3, Net Geo, Sports. Lack of power point. Only 1 in my room. So do bring small extension if you want to charged your phone, tab, notebook etc.

Poor but economical

The hotel lacks basic facilities like good airconditioner and quiet environment. The reception staff lacks English speaking skills and can not assist you for any trips or visits. However, its cost effective as we paid around 210 RYM for two nights.

Nice hotel room. Very big and spacious. Simple breakfast included (toast) which was good for us. Only downside was that staff weren’t very friendly. Around 2 members of staff were and were helpful but the rest seemed like they didn’t want to speak to us. Also had to ask for toilet roll every single day because when we arrived there was none in the room and then the cleaners didnt top it up. Just left us with little bits. You’d think after asking every day they would tell the cleaners to make sure they leave some. Hotels location was in a quiet spot and taxis were very cheap to beaches and other attractions (use the grab app! Its like uber). The room definitely compensated for the few unattentive staff.

Very good welcoming staff. Location is very central, not far away from the Jetty. The manager was very nice. He took us to buy the boat tickets and give us many insights. The only negative point was the dust pb the floor and low quality bedding.

Excellent location on the main road. Near to restaurants and cafe. Five minutes drive to Kuah town. The hotel provided free wifi and simple breakfast. The only cons is that the hotel has no elevator. Hair dyer or iron board are available from reception but you have to get them yourself.

Value for money accommodation at Kuan town

Hotel is clean and conveniently close to many shops and eateries. Amenities are basic but expected for what you pay. Would recommend staying here if on a budget.

Close to ferries for Satun and Penang

Decided to stay here as it was close to the ferry bringing us from Thailand, as well as the ferry taking us onto Penang. The hotel is about 1 mile from the ferry port, and we walked there. It was hot, but we managed, even with our rucksacks. A taxi should be reasonably cheap though. The hotel is pretty close tot he centre of Kuah Town, and there are shops, bars and restaurants all within a few minutes walk. However Kuah Town was a little sleepy with not much going on whilst we were there (although it was a combination of the Thai New Year as well as the prophets ascension). The room was an okay size and the bed was comfortable. It was very clean and the bathroom was nice too. Reception was helpful, giving us advice on car hire and advising that they offered a free breakfast (toast/jam/tea/coffee). Good place to stay

Bra hotell, dåligt närområde

Ett fräscht hotell med vänlig personal. Rent rum & bra sängar, inget fel på det alls. Det enda är närområdet då jag aldrig skulle rekommendera någon att åka till Kuah Town (det finns typ 0 att göra där som turist) men det är ett bra hotell ifall man ska åka med färjan dagen efter & behöver ett hotell över natten. Rekommenderar!

Budget hotel with a difference

We were upgraded to a bigger room which was a bonus as occupany in the hotel was low. Nice clean room with good air-con and shower. The room was clean and bedsheets changed daily. WIFI connection in the room and lobby area was good. Perhaps the management could look into replacing the towels and place a soap dish at the wash basin. There was complimentary continental breakfast - self service at the lobby. The staff was welcoming and helpful. We could put some of our foodstuff in the cold drink chiller as there was no fridge in the room. As it's a downtown hotel, food was easily available with walking distance of 10-15 mins.

Hotel was cheap, but our room was moldy. Close to ferry and hotel staffs were very helpful. Over all wasn't bad, but far from airport that cost around 30 MR.

Value for money after all, if provide with a small fridge & 2 room key/room will be better...Easier for family member which wanted to go out by themselves & some of them stay in the room... Near by Kuah & just beside the traffic police station, safety for sure !

Many mosquitoes....

1. We killed.... like 20 mosquitoes in our room for the first day.... 2.The hotel is near some restaurants, so we could easily find lunch/dinner. 3. Free breads with jam were provided every morning, not bad. 4.They allowed us to put our luggage in the store after check in

This hotel is terrible. The room is tiny, their is no separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom so when one takes a shower the whole bathroom floor is soaked. The beds were small and uncomfortable.

Nice hotel which is very close to kuah town,

Overall the hotel was pleasant, the only complain would be the lack of lift, it's only a 3 storey building, but the issue is when you check in and have to get all your luggage to the 3rd floor is a very heavy task, the normal daily routine going up is ok for me

Staffs are kind and friendly. Should have safer parking lot. Good safety conciousness, Except ** Night shift staff should be more vegilant and stay on counter. They were sleeping inside so you may need to call them several time or knock the table if you need their help**
