High Peaks Resort is on the main street through Lake Placid, putting it within walking distance of a broad seletion of restaurants, bars and shops. We had a balcony view, but never looked outside because it was usually dark by the time we got back from skiing. The pool and jacuzzi also looked nice, but we never got a chance to try it out. Staff was friendly.

It was great overall. But when i made reservation i didnt know i was not in main hotel but suxilliary building. It eas nicely located on the lake. But i wanted to b in hotel proper.
