I really enjoyed my stay at Soraniwa Terrace Kyoto. The onsen was relaxing, and the roof terrace, with its daily free drink, was a great touch. The views were amazing, the location was perfect for getting around Kyoto, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I’d happily stay here again.

Beautiful hotel and very friendly and attentive staff. The room was spacious and the baths were very relaxing and well maintained. The highlight for us was getting to go up on the terrace and getting to use the foot baths while enjoying the city view. We had a wonderful couple of days of our honeymoon here and will absolutely be returning

The staff were outstanding, the facility was spotless and beautiful, the open-air baths supremely relaxing, the rooftop bar & foot soak a perfect way to end a day of shightseeing and we had everything we could have possibly thought of. By far one of the best places we've stayed! We only wish we had made a booking for the restaurant, but now we have an "excuse" to come back to such a lovely place.

Really enjoy the location of this hotel. You can walk to Gion and Nishiki market. The rooftop bar offers a nice view toward Gion district. That bar also has foot soak. Fun hotel to stay at. I would come back.

We had an amazing stay here in November 2025! We stayed for five nights. The room was small (especially with two large suitcases) but functional and very well kept. The bed was very comfortable. The rooftop bar is amazing with the views, and the saunas were so nice as well (especially the one with the view!) We had forwarded our luggage from Tokyo and it was already in our room when we arrived. The location is great and very central. Easy access to tons of food options, shopping, Gion, and transportation around and out of Kyoto. We would absolutely stay here again and would totally recommend it to others looking for somewhere to stay in Kyoto.

Relaxing and beautiful hotel!

We really enjoyed our stay! The rooftop terrace was very pretty at night, the foot bath an added bonus. The onsens are very beautiful and relaxing too.

Our stay was second to none due to the incredible staff, beautiful amenities/onsen, and clean room. The front desk and greeting staff, specifically “Coco”, were so pleased personable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel special during our stay. As this was our honeymoon trip, they provided us extra drink tickets and a box of sweets in our room. There were free soft drinks, tea, coffee etc. available 24/7, as well as a Happy Hour upstairs overlooking the entire city, PLUS a foot bath to soak in the views! We were so thrilled by our honeymoon stay here and cannot wait to return!
