It was a great hotel experience. Only disappointment was that the room wasn't ready on check in. But staff made us comfortable in the spa whilst the room was made up. The ambiance however is really spoilt by the hoards of people taking selfies and posing for photos both outside the hotel and in the main hall, on the stairs and with the christmas tree. The Peninsular continues to offer the style and comfort expected. It is located conveniently near, shops, transport, restaurants, tourist attractions and the harbour. The staff were friendly and always tentative to our needs. The gym and pool facilities were exceptional.
