  • This is a lovely beach to relax and swim at. Kantiang beach is definitely one of the cleanest beaches that we have seen in Thailand. We were fortunate enough to see why the beach was so clean. The local workers from the Pimalai Resort and Spa spent sometime from work cleaning up the beach. I wish other locals and hotels would do the same to help the pollution issues that the beaches and seas are facing here in Thailand as well as around the world. It also looked like a great team building experience. You can find this beach on the way to the Southern most point of Ko Lanta.

We had a very nice room, and the hotel is right on one of the nicest beaches in Koh Lanta. The staff was very helpful in assisting us with transportation issues, which are a little tricky on the island.

Bay View value

I went during low season so had the entire place to myself. Steps from the beach. One night a group of about 20 young Muslim Thais filled the villas around me for a one-night party, so it was a little raucous, but they didn't go too late and were very respectful and were gone the next day. Was able to rent a gas scooter for ¥200/day and could explore the entire island. The staff were very good and the restaurant had a pretty good menu. It was next to the most happening bar on the entire bay. I would go back.

Great beach good staff wonderful sunsets cool chill bar with live music not a lot of people on the beach no one trying to sell u stuff and fire dancers definitely worth a visit even extended our stay

Few meters from beach, nice resort with restaurant and affordable prices. Beach in front of resort was in February empty and clear. every night fire show in front of next door bar with life music. Highly recommend this place.

All in all a good experience. Nice calm beach at the southern end of Koh Lanta. The hotel has en exilent restaurant and the bar (Why not bar) connected to is is wonderful.

Umgebung und Bar waren der absolute Wahnsinn. Zimmer war okay, Dusche war leider recht schwach aber ausreichend, die WLAN Verbindung war leider eine Katastrophe, da sie ständig abgebrochen ist (was grundsätzlich ja kein Problem ist, wenn man nicht noch Flüge zu buchen hat ...) Aber alles in allem würden wir das Hotel definitiv wieder buchen :)

Great Location

This is the third or fourth time we have stayed here. We really like it. I would give it 5 stars except for the construction going on and the garden disappearing. The garden view rooms (most expensive) no longer have a view of the beach or the garden. But the rooms are nice and clean. The staff is friendly. It is right on the beach. And it is a great location from which to go diving.

Mediokert boende, men värt om du vill utforska ön

Ganska tråkiga rum, men eftersom hotellet verkligen låg på stranden så vägde det upp. Fanns en del trevliga barer i närheten av hotellet och flera olika härliga restauranger om ni inte har något emot att ta er en bit. Kan exempelvis rekommendera lunch på Pad thai rock n roll, helt klart den bästa pad thai någonsin! Och middag på Yang, en fusionrestautang där öst möter väst, driven av ett svenskt par. Men som sagt, boendet var sådär.

Nice rooms, lovely beach, shame about the staff

This is a nice hotel - the rooms are comfortable (although beds are quite hard) and it's directly on the beach. The hotel has a bar called Why Not which the Lonely Planet says has fun staff - it is quite the opposite. The only time I ever saw them smile (sarcastically) was when we asked for help with our baggage when we were leaving as my mum is disabled. The food was terrible and I actually sent mine back and chose to go without after trying to eat it. Beware the 4 islands trip they advertise - this is in a battered old long boat and not by speedboat as most others seem to be.

A super place beside a beautiful bay. There was a problem with an aircon leak. An annoying drip. This was fixed next morning while we had a swim. Kantiang is a lovely friendly village with lots of nice restaurants which are more than reasonable.

check in的时候老板娘说只看到我订了一个房间。。然后花了10分钟才弄清楚订单。后来也没有一句sorry之类的，没有笑容有点凶的老板娘。我们住了三个上，但是没有一天房间是收拾过的。厕所浴室比较多蚊子，而且很大只。房间看上去旧旧的。衣服挂在房间外面会被猴子偷掉，这是隔壁的住户告诉我们的，一开始不相信，后来亲眼看见猴子偷隔壁的比基尼，我才相信。唯一的好处就是酒店的沙滩，水很清，离岛游可以直接从酒店沙滩坐船，比较方便。晚上的酒吧有玩火的表演，但是比较嘈。订了这间酒店是我这次旅程唯一的遗憾。

Convenient and clean hotel right on the beach

We loved this hotel. It is exactly as it looks in the photos. Initially we were put in the room directly opposite reception which would have been loud be we asked to switch and were put in room 4 which was lovely and quiet (we couldn't even hear any sound from the why not bar). The why not bar was great. The service was also good. The servers in the restaurant don't all speak much English but they were very friendly and hard working...just point at what you want on the menu and they will understand. The beach is awesome. Huge and nice and quiet, and it is easy to day trips from the hotel. Only draw back...no safe in the room, just a locker by reception. We would definitely stay in Kantiang bay again and definitely in this hotel again

Great beach, and was a decent stay

The beach was very nice. The room could use more updating but was alright. They provided the basics. Some beach towels would have been nice. Got the room with the partial sea view and it was worth it for the porch and view.
