A very, very pleasant stay in a really beautiful place filled with art, nice hang out spaces and nice kitchen facilities. Room stocked well with food and beverage items which was helpful on a short visit. Had very friendly and helpful staff. Provided substantial, instantaneous assistance including motorbike, arranged snorkeling trip, transportation to Chanthaburi and returned item left behind by mail. Outstanding services and lovely place.

A great stay.

Conveniently located by the main road south of White Sands. It’s an oasis of calm, the rooms are clean and spacious, the bed is large and comfortable and all the facilities are first rate. The dining and communal areas including the swimming pool were very pleasant and relaxing and the breakfast was excellent. The owners Heinz and Anya are excellent hosts, advising and helping with all aspects of the stay. They have scooters to rent that are very well maintained and can arrange excursions and onward travel. I stayed an extra night and will would happily stay there again. I have no hesitation in recommending Baan Tan Rak. 😀

nice all round hotel.

Clean and comfortable, relaxing, good sized room, friendly staff, my girlfriend and I stayed for 5 nights in this Thai styled bungalow room hotel, and had a very enjoyable stay, close to Tesco Lotus, good little restaurant across the road, we will stay here again the next time we visit Koh Chang.

Hard as a rock bed. Noisy, no toilet paper, bad wifi, bad A/C , bad pool, breakfast not included. Sink drians into the shower No security. Glad I was only here 10 hours.

Cosy and great owners

The owners are great.. Its a cosy hotel With good rooms..its nessasary to take scooter or taxi to the beach (5min) but its easyly arranged at the hotel.. Breakfast was the Best we had during our roundtrip..

Wir haben uns im Ban Ton Rak sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Klein aber feines, aber vor allem mit viel Liebe und Herzblut geführtes Resort. Eine sehr familiäre Atmosphäre setzt dem ganzen noch das Sahnehäubchen auf. Es gibt nette Ecken zum chillen, ob in der Hängematte oder auf der Liege am Pool. Eine Weiterempfehlung gibt es von uns in jedem Falle. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder ;-)

Hotel mit hohem Wohlfühlfaktor

Wir wurden bei unserer Ankunft überaus freundlich begrüßt und fühlten uns gleich vertraut. Anja und Heinz sind sehr um das Wohl ihrer Gäste bemüht. Für Urlauber, die nicht jeden Tag am selben Strand verbringen wollen, liegt das Hotel ideal, da man ganz unkompliziert mit den Taxis überall hin kommt. In unmittelbarer Nähe zum Hotel findet man den Pearl Beach. Dort sind kaum Leute, da es eine steinige Buch ist. Mit Badeschuhen kann man aber auch dort wunderbar schwimmen.

Sauberes, gemütliches Hotel aber sehr laut

Das Hotel ist schön und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leider hatten wir das Pech eines der Zimmer an der Strassenseite zu bekommen (Standart Room) und diese waren wirklich sehr laut, da sich das Hotel direkt an der Hauptstraße befindet. Da diese auch Nachts gut befahren wird, sind wir nachts oft vom Verkehr wach geworden. Von Ruhe kann hier leider nicht die Rede sein.

Wenn Sie gerne an der Schnellstraße sind richtig

Pro: - Große saubere Zimmer - Hilfreiche deutschsprechende Besitzer - In der Nähe von einem großen Supermarkt Cons: - Zimmer riecht muffelig - Superior Zimmer ist direkt (ca. 4 m ) an der Hauptverkehrsstraße - Man braucht einen Roller um was zu sehen Wir waren ein wenig geschockt als wir in das Zimmer eingezogen sind, leider war aus den anderen Bewertungen nicht herauslesbar, dass die Superior Zimmer direkt an der Hauptverkehrsstraße von Koh Chang liegen. Erholsamer Schlaf war dadurch leider nicht möglich, die Frage der Besitzer ob wir den keine Ohropax dabei hätten fanden wir nicht gerade hilfreich. Es wurde uns jedoch angeboten das wir mit einem Abschlag von minus 100 Euro unser Geld zurück bekommen und in ein anderes Hotel ziehen, leider war über Sylvester alles ausgebucht und wir sind 9 Nächte geblieben. Die Besitzer sind hilfsbereit und es herrscht einen deutsch Ordnung und Sauberkeit, wer jedoch Ruhe und Erholung sucht ist hier meines Erachtens nicht richtig. Die Zimmer sind groß und sauber riechen (also zumindest unseres) jedoch modrig. Ich würde das nächste Mal ein anderes Hotel besuchen.

정말 살다살다 이렇게 곰팡이 냄새가 많이 나는 호텔은 처음 그리고 침대위에 개미가 백마리 정도 나옴 주인장 아저씨는 외국인인데 호텔관리는 별 관심이 없어보임

Boutique Resort mit Flair!!

Kleines aber feines Resort. Für uns optimale Lage, genau zwischen dem White Sand Beach und dem für uns schönsten Strand, dem Cai Check Beach. Jeden Morgen gibt es ein frisches leckeres Frühstück, sehr zu empfehlen ist das Müsli von Anja :-). Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet, sauber und unser Zimmer Nr. 1 hatte ein rießiges Bad. Die ganze Anlage lädt zum chillen und relaxen ein. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis unschlagbar! Anja gibt kulinarische Tipps, die man unbedingt befolgen sollte, ein Restaurant besser als das Andere. Auch die Ausflugstipps waren bestens, wir denken nur an die Poolbar am Hafen :-). Für Taucher, im besonderen für Wrackfans muss man unbedingt die HTMS Chang betauchen, einer der besten Tauchspots ever ever ever!!!. Anja empfahl uns die Scandinavian Diver, die waren gut. Anja und Heinz: Heute ist nicht alle Tage.....wir kommen wieder ....keine Frage :-)!!! Viele Grüße Stella & Joachim

Deutsche Ordnung mit thailändischem Flair

Das Hotel wird von einem deutschen Ehepaar geführt, es besitzt 7 Zimmer, die mit viel Liebe eingerichtet wurden. Wir sind das erste mal in Thailand unterwegs (Backpacker) und haben noch kein vergleichbares Hotel für diesen Preis kennen gelernt. Die zwei sind sehr hilfsbereit und für alle Fragen offen. Sie konnten uns sehr viel hilfreiches über die Insel und Thailand allgemein berichten. Die Insel ist ein TRAUM und mit dem leckeren Frühstück, beginnt jeder Tag perfekt. Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit bei euch...man sieht sich immer zwei mal im Leben ;-) Jenny und Jessica

Besser geht´s nicht!

Das Baan Ton Rak ist klein aber fein! Nur 7 Zimmer in einer liebevoll gestalteten und gepflegten Anlage. Die Zimmer sind in einem guten Zustand und extrem sauber, außerdem sehr schön eingerichtet. Alles da, was man braucht! Einzig das Bett war etwas hart, aber das ist Geschmackssache und allemal besser, als durchgelegen. Das Frühstück war reichlich und es gab immer frisches Obst, vor allem die Frühstückszeiten bis 12 Uhr sind sehr urlaubsfreundlich ;) Gegenüber gibt es eine gute Wäscherei, Roller können unkompliziert und günstig im Baan Ton Rak gemietet werden, gute Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar, zwei riesige Supermärkte ebenso. Aber das Beste im Baan Ton Rak sind die Betreiber Anja und Heinz mit Hündin Bella! Von der herzlichen Begrüßung an fühlt man sich einfach gut aufgehoben und willkommen! Die Beiden bieten nicht nur super Service, sie erschaffen eine fast schon familiäre Atmosphäre. Anja + Heinz sind aufmerksam und helfen immer gern mit Tipps - fragen lohnt sich. Auch Touren können hier direkt gebucht werden. Wir haben z.B. ein Regenwaldtrekking gebucht und es nicht bereut! An einigen Abenden haben wir mit anderen Gästen und auch unseren Gastgebern gemütlich zusammengesessen. Wir haben hier tolle Menschen kennengelernt und unseren bisher schönsten Urlaub hier verbracht!!
