The property was clean, smelled lovely, nicely decorated. The room was spacious, bathroom was nice and big. Good shower. Coffee and tea facilities with easy instructions. Easy access to local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and local walks. Breakfast was great! I would definitely recommend staying here.
I was in Knighton for a wedding and had a great stay at The Red Lion. The owners were very welcoming and nice to chat to, the room was simple but nice and clean, the hotel is in a great location and breakfast was great. I wish I had stayed longer after seeing how lovely the surrounding area is!
Hosts made us welcome as soon as we entered. So much tea and coffee available and no short cuts for anything. Endless breakfast and whole place spotless and modern. We will be back thank you both.
Overall good stay
Checkin is 3-6pm which I didn’t realise during booking. Had to phone and wait to get let in as it’s all locked up. Can arrange a late checkin prior which I’ll do in future.
The front rooms are within hearing of the village clock but didn’t give much issue.
Rooms were good, plently if hot water and nice cooked breakfast from the friendly host Tim.
I really liked the history of the property and that it has been restored to a place for travelers to stay. This is my second stay -2024, and chose it again this year.
Our room was spotlessly clean. Had all the amenities that we could ask for. The staff were very welcoming and made sure that we had everything we needed. Our breakfast was cooked as we arrived and to a very high standard.
Used this hotel as a base for visiting family in Knighton and will definitely be returning in the future.
A lovely warm greeting from Tim, he gave us all the information we needed and when he found out we had to leave the following morning by 6am, he went above and beyond for us. Made sure we knew where all the breakfast bits and bobs were and gave us a demo for the hot water. Tim then proceeded to set a table up ready and waiting for us in the morning. Nothing was too much trouble for Tim, he is an excellent host, food advisor and a parking advisor too!
The whole place was spotless and smelt gorgeous in whichever room you walked in to. Beds were very comfy too. We just loved our short stay here. Will definitely return if we venture this way again. 😊 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Worst Hotel Ever
worst hotel I've ever stayed.
Disturbed by building work during the day whilst the Bell Tower 50 yards away rings every 30 minutes day & night.
Definitely not worth anywhere that amount of money.
