We stay here every year because it is so amazing. Veda and Bill and so accommodating and the Inn is so beautiful. Breakfast is an added bonus because it is always amazing as well. The Inn is also so close to the beach, restaurants and anything you would want to do.

My wife and I stayed here this past weekend (Late Sept 2025). It was spot on in all aspects from cleanlessness to bed comfort. Bill and Veda were very hospitable and their breakfast was tasty perfect for a day's start. HIGHLY recommended!!

A cut above

Wonderful place to stay on the Outer Banks. You get to know the other guests and the owners over a home cooked breakfast every morning and they now put out wine in the evening. The Inn provides a far more personal and homey experience than the nondescript hotels lining the beaches on the Outer Banks. Definitely a cut above!

Cypress House Inn was welcoming and a pleasant experience from check in to check out. The breakfast was amazing. Very nice decor throughout the home and a very clean appearance. I definitely recommend staying here over anywhere else in the area. Such friendly owners and staff. We will be back again.

Cute little dormer had everything we needed. Much more than a “room rental.” Owners very helpful and anxious to please. Abundance of info given on surrounding areas and dining. We thoroughly enjoyed all the dining options they recommended. We should have paid more attention to the detail that renters need to climb 3 sets of stairs. We did not have a problem with that (other than ground or second floor would have been easier) or but others may. A good experience for us.

A great place to stay

We had a perfect stay at the Cypress Inn. The innkeepers were very hospitable, friendly and informative. Our room was clean and cozy. There was coffee, tea and hot chocolate always available; which I enjoyed. The location to the beach was excellent. There was a lot to explore close to the B&B. We will definitely be back again!

Our family of 4 had a great stay at the Cypress Inn. The innkeepers Bill and Veda were so welcoming. Breakfast was a real treat and everyday a different dish prepared from scratch. Location is super convenient, barely a block from the beach. We’d love to go back!

Cypress Inn is a perfect location to visit for exploring the Outer Banks. It’s right at the entrance to the beach, a great bike rental is a 5 minute walk away and we could bike to the Wright National Monument. Many restaurant offers and we loved the homemade breakfast each day at the inn. The guest room was spacious, cozy and the modern bathrooms were perfect. Can’t wait to visit Bill and Veda in the future.

This was my first time staying here and it was a great experience! Bill and Veda are the sweetest and make sure we had everything we needed. They recommended awesome things for us to do and see while there. Breakfast each morning was the absolute best!! This was our first stay at a B&B and I don't believe we could have made a better choice. The house was lovely, inside and out, and our hosts were friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and quite comfortable. Breakfast was scrumptious and the time to sit around the table and visit with the other guests and our hosts was time well spent. Fantastic B and B

We had the best time at Cypress House. Very cute place with many amenities to support time at the beach. Centrally located to everything. The beach is right across the street. Breakfast was fantastic and Bill was so great to talk to. Even though they had a death in the family while we were there they had a backup plan and we were still well cared for. We will be back!

We feel that we stayed at the PERFECT PLACE!!! Loved the east access to the beach, the wonderful breakfast, the beautiful room and bath but most of all, Veda and Bill are great hosts!! I would recommend this Inn to everyone I know that is traveling to this area. I haven’t mentioned how fun the area is but the whole area is relaxing , has great seafood restaurants, the Wright Brothers Memorial brought to life just what the brothers went through in planning and executing the first flight; we loved seeing the lighthouses (the Bodie Island Lighthouse was our favorite) but the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was amazing as well and to know that engineers planned and had a team move this lighthouse 2,900 feet in 1999 to protect it from being washed out in the ocean was an unbelievable feet. If you are looking for a vacation where you just want to relax, this is it!! Thank you to the Cypress Inn for the nice accommodations!! Harold & Paula Cornett

Comfortable and welcoming

We were welcomed by Veda and Bill and felt very comfortable from the start. They were very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. We enjoyed meeting other guests from other parts of the country. The room was cozy, the bathroom was modern, and the breakfasts were delicious. We especially liked the availability of water, coffee, and tea in the upstairs hallway.
