The Hydro Hotel was a perfect location for the Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival. The Saturday night club/disco catered to the younger crowd and they carried on until the wee hours. The restaurant at the hotel did not disappoint. The breakfast was amazing. The dinner menu had something for everyone including gluten free options. It was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location. Despite being a busy hotel and getting a room on the ground floor, the room was well insulated and was very quiet. Beds were very comfortable. Shower had poor water pressure, which was annoying, but overall bathrooms very clean. Breakfast is average good.

The hotel is going through an extensive renovation. Common areas are beautifully redesigned and comfortable. Rooms are older but will eventually be updated. Complimentary breakfast was amazing. On site restaurant was excellent. Highly recommend.

The hotel is very nice. I understand it’s under renovation so the room was quite old. smelled musty and damn But beds were pretty comfortable. The bathroom was probably the worst about the room. It was old and but functioned somewhat again. The hotel is under renovation so this is understanding the staff were very nice and accommodating. The food was pretty good. Breakfast was lovely so for overall 9/10.

We recently had a wonderful stay at The Hydro Hotel in Lisdoonvarna. While the property is currently going through some renovations, it hasn't lost an ounce of its historic, old-world charm. It is a wonderfully cozy place to return to after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were fantastic, the genuine hospitality we received made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. We also loved the morning breakfast, which was delicious and the perfect fuel for our busy days. The absolute best part of this hotel is the location. It is the perfect strategic base camp for County Clare. You are only a quick 10-minute drive down to Doolin to catch the passenger ferries out to the Aran Islands, and less than 15 minutes away from the Cliffs of Moher. Highly recommend this hotel if you want a warm, charming stay, right in the heart of all the best coastal sights!

The property is well situated, very clean, with helpful staff, and free onsite parking. There is a tasty breakfast buffet which was included in the hotel rate and a good dinner menu available. Each breakfast table had white table cloths which were changed with each seating. The hotel is going through a renewal phase, but this did not impact the service. There is a bar and cafe onsite, with a nice lobby. I was very appreciative as the hotel accommodated our early check in at 1pm.

The hotel is beautiful. They are in the second stage of renovation to the hotel, but it was very clean and the renovation did not hinder amenities. I loved the coffee bar during the day; it was a nice touch and reasonably priced. While we did not dine at the hotel for dinner, the menu always looked very good and it was a quaint atmosphere.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel; the only downside was that the breakfast was very poor – there were absolutely no vegetables and no variety at all. Overall, it was very clean and the staff were excellent. We went to the hotel restaurant for dinner and the food there was excellent.

Nice water pressure in the shower and nice towels. The room was tiny and very dated and the mattress was horrible. It was lumpy and had a dip in the middle. It forced me to sleep on the very edge or roll into my husband.

Room was spacious and the kids enjoyed the tennis court! We also found a playground a short walk away. The lower rating was due to the washroom. The toilet was wobbly and did not flush well. The shower had great pressure but there was only a half partition to contain the water and water ended up getting on the floor.
