Lovely comfortable guest house with lovely hosts

The couple that run the guest house were very friendly and extremely hospitable I had one night there and had a great nights sleep and really enjoyed the breakfast I will definitely be staying there again when I visit the area again in the future

Faultless stay. Friendly onwers, clean, comfortable and homely accommodation with great views from front of house. Best breakfast ever! Short country walk into Keswick (17 mins) for non drivers like me. Great base for exploring Lakes.

Absolutely stunning property, located in the heart of Pointiscale, Keswick. Easy to get around to points of interest by a local bus which is opposite the place and lots of places for local walks /hikes near derwentwater. Also close to Keswick centre (1.5 miles, or 25 mins walk). The hosts, Craig and Claire, were brilliant; friendly and charming. They have exemplary customer service skills and great knowledge of the local area. The hot breakfast was great and the touch of home made oat bars to fuel on morning walks was a lovely touch. I was put in a single room, which was compact but it had all the necessities as well as an en suite shower. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Room is spacious and sparkling clean with nice view of the lake. It is an old building in traditional renovation. If you like the atmosphere of staying in an old English house you will definitely love it. We had a nice and quiet break from busy life there. Breakfast was nicely served. Close walking distance to hiking trail. It's a few minutes drive from town centre.

We had a wonderful stay! Clare and Craig are super sweet and knowledgeable; they gave us many great local recommendations and even maps. The breakfast was fantastic, and the room was lovely and roomy. We only stayed two nights, and we would have loved to stay longer. We definitely hope to come back and stay again.

Strongly recommended - superb breakfast!

Extremely well run and homely B&B just outside Keswick. The breakfast was a particular highlight - especially the a la carte menu. Small things (like tea & coffee in the room with fresh milk, flapjacks in reception and USB charging sockets) make a big difference. I also appreciated the excellent advice provided by the hosts on hiking routes and where to eat in Keswick. I only stayed for one night but will stay longer next time.

We received a very warm welcome from Clare and provided with lots of information about the area. The service we received from Clare and Craig was first rate. They couldn't have been more helpful. It is a truly top place to stay. We would definitely stay there again should we ever return.

Just perfect in every way!

Just perfect in every way. Our room was spotlessly clean, modern, very comfortable and spacious. Craig and Clare are very welcoming and friendly and gave us lots of information on the local area. The choice of breakfast dishes is excellent and the food is fabulous. We are very much looking forward to coming back!

Wonderful charming house with lovely gardens and village surroundings. Friendly service from Clair and Craig. A very good breakfast and a bar in the evenings. Good communication pre stay. Will definitely return. Well above average experience. Good pub only 100 yards away and ample car parking.

Lovely stay

We received a very warm welcome from Craig and Claire on arrival, Craig even carried my suitcase from the car to the hotel where Claire took over and gave us the tour of the hotel ground floor and explained how things worked. Our room was spacious enough with an ensuite, I might suggest you take on of the chairs out we never sat on both at the same time. Bathroom was a great size with plenty room for our toiletries. We also had a great garden view. Breakfast was lovely, best poached eggs I've had on smashed Avocado and sourdough, the kippers were excellent and the full English was great too. Lovely thick bacon and proper meaty sausage. No end of tea and toast. I would recommend this hotel, Craig and Claire genuinely want youto enjoy your stay and this definitely comes across when they interact with guests. Craig has great local knowledge too and is happy to help with directions. Overall a great stay with the added bonus of great weather
