I stayed for three nights as a solo traveler in one of the garden suites. Overall, I think this is an excellent resort that is affordable, clean, with a gorgeous beach very friendly staff I did not do full board but was able to order off the lunch menu for dinner and overall the food was good. I saw snakes, huge centipedes, lots of different species of fish, hermit crabs bush babies, and other types of lizards. I think this would be really cool if your child is into animals. If you’re interested in snorkeling, bring your own mask. There is only one at the resort and it’s quite scratched up. Also- bring sunscreen as it’s $50USD at the resort. Also, the beach is not really accessible if you’re handicapped because the one stair to the ocean is several feet from the sand and you have to jump off of it. The hotel is only about 30 minutes from Stonetown in the airport which makes it really convenient if you are only there for a few days. I had a massage, which was excellent. I booked through Expedia so I got 20% off of spa service and a free drink. I will definitely be back with my family.

Zanzi paradise

Fantastic place with very friendly people always being helpful. Our villa was very nice with a private pool as well as private access to the beach. The food was excellent and beyond even our high expectation.

An experience to remember

Loved it! It was stunning and the staff were so friendly! Rashid, Alexandra and Emmanuel made our stay so much more relaxing and fun as they were super helpful. As a Muslim couple, we cared about privacy a lot. And this provided exactly what we were looking for. We had booked the ocean access private villa with a pool. We are definitely thinking of coming back.

The Jetty provided a lovely view at sunset. If we had more time we would’ve booked the private dinner experience at the end of the jetty.

Our experience was really great. The resort is amazing, it was quit and relaxing. the villa was great it has big bedroom and living room. The swimming pool was big and the privacy was good ( specially for us as Muslims ). The restaurant offers variety of good and delicious food that suits different tastes. The staff are amazing, they really did a great job, they are friendly and helpful and they try to do everything thing to make us comfortable, specially Mr. Nivot. we really felt welcomed and appreciated. We celebrated our anniversary and they setup a romantic dinner ( free of charge) that was amazing. Big thanks for Mr. Nivot for his hospitality and friendliness.

We stayed in a beautiful villa at Zanzi Resort with its own private pool and the setting and surroundings are stunning. However, what let it down is the dinner menu on both nights. We were presented with a five-course tasting menu but no matter how you dress it up, 'sticky chicken wings with fries' for a main course does not fall under a fine dining experience. This is the type of dish one expects to have at a fast food restaurant and not at a five-star resort like Zanzi. Even on the first night, I found the stuffed aubergine with chicken main course to be very stodgy. The dinner service on the first night was excellent but on the second night, it was a bit haphazard as we were served the wrong items and also dishes were served very late. The jetty at the resort offers stunning views, including a beautiful sunset.

Great for honeymooners

A wonderful hidden Gem ...in a village called Kama .. villas are spacious.. and nicely decorated.. thus lack not so modern .. Very beautiful Gardens with monkeys and Lemurs .. very nice Jetty ...and nice private beach .. not ideal for swimming due to rocks in the water .. Service is impecable yet bit slow especially if rushing to a,tour .. food is high quality .. Yet needs some more diversity especially when it comes to local cuisine and sea food .deserts are not the best .. The biggiest minus is that when you are there .. you can't go around if like you were in Paje beach or elsewhere...you need to rent a car or hire a taxi which should take you to new places and you end up paying few hundreds for displacements .

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We always looked forward to the meals because the food was delicious and great conversation with the staff. They made us feel at home, I wished we had stayed longer! It was my fiance’s birthday and they made it as special as possible, they made him his favourite dish and had a birthday song performance that left him beaming from ear to ear. It was truly a memorable stay at Zanzi. A beautiful hideaway from the world, the villa was spectacular and private. We look forward to coming back again.
