"Breakfast bar very good ....but eggs terrible "

"I have stayed in many hotels and this one was the worst I have come across...it felt like a 2 star motel. The room wasn't clean, dirty sofa, beds and we found a contact from a previous guest in the bathroom. The shower and the sink didn't drain and standing in dirty shower water while you showered is not acceptable. The shower sprayer everywhere and the floor was soaked. The toilet didn't flush. We were there from 6pm until 6am. Tired after a full day of travel by car from the highlands, all we wanted was dinner, shower and bed. We accepted the condition of the room as we were tired but it is unacceptable to pay almost 600 CAD for that. I expect more from a Hilton property and stayed in one in Montreal last month that was great for 250 Cad. When we went to check out, the lady just took our room keys and didn't even bother to ask how our stay was. Again, not a great experience. I'd like a resolution to all of this. Thanks, Patricia"

"This hotel is branded as affordable luxury, and it really lives up to that. It is in the affordable price range that we are usually in, and is decidedly more luxurious than what we usually experience. The staff is super helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and chic. The lobby and restaurant are extremely stylish. My only complaint is that the hotel is listed as having a free airport shuttle. However, the shuttle operates on limited hours during the week, and is not available at all on weekends. We were leaving on a Saturday, and needed to get to the airport. There is a train, but it is a 25 minute walk to the station. Our flight was early, so we took a taxi. It cost 32 pounds. That made the affordable luxury a bit less affordable. It really should be listed as free airport shuttle with limited hours. It is only after you book that you are instructed to contact the hotel about reserving the shuttle, which you do have to do in advance. However, the hotel is still very very nice, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"whole hotel was spotless and well maintained Aircon was lovely and cold and staff were friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was great as were sauna and steam room. Only a ten minute train journey in to the city and also trams running every 7 minutes. well located off the motorway too perfect hotel for exploring Edinburgh but not being right in the centre of everything."

"We had to leave the property before breakfast and the staff provided us with to go bags including a yogurt and fruit and croissant. The hotel property was beautiful and conducive to a nice walk"
