Bad customer service

The worst experience I ever had was with the person in the front desk on Monday 8/12/19. He was very rude to us when asking for an extra key and told us we didn’t need any. I rent hotel rooms a lot for business and am very disappointed about his service if you deal with customers you need to be polite. The next day another gentleman was at the front and was totally different he gave me an extra key because it was not working. The following day the same rude person was at the desk and refused again to help us.

I come to joppa md a lot for work and have stayed in many places, this is the cleanest and most comfortable place by far. All of the staff including the maids who tend to my room everyday are the best people I have ever dealt with. Thank you all!

On the morning after our fifth night there, we woke to a mouse in our room. This is understandable because the hotel is surrounded by a wooded area and we had left food out on the desk overnight. The staff was very accommodating and moved us to another room and we never saw another critter. They also comped me one night of my 8-night stay for the trouble. I looked for cheap accommodations, so I would never expect this place to be perfect. The front desk staff certainly operates at a 5-star level in my opinion. My ONLY real complaint would be that the carpeting feels very dirty under my feet. It left my bare feet black, so wear shoes/slippers.

This price of the motel was cheap and unfortunately the motel grounds reflect why the price is so cheap. We had to travel to Maryland for an emergency and needed a reasonable hotel for a few nights. The location of the motel is great. Immediately upon walking into the room there was a very moldy smell. The AC unit was very dirty with dust and dirt that were visible, the rugs are sticky and the water pressure in the bathroom is so bad that the water barely comes out of the shower. The beds were a bit hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. With this motel you get exactly what you pay for.

Cigarette burn holes in the bedspread. Rumpled bed sheets - fitted sheet was pulled off the corner of the mattress. Black flecks of debris on sheets. The room was dark & dinghy. Upon check-in we noticed a sign that said the motel was “pet friendly” - the Desk Attendant confirmed that this includes All rooms. (I have allergies) Also - when we mentioned the burn holes (we had reserved a non-smoking room) he explained that all the bedding, towels, etc. are shared & not separated smoking/non. This motel is very old & run down. Badly in need of renovation & upgrade. Hopefully we will see our refund soon...

We stayed here years ago and it was ok, we stayed here again in March and just now in May and the place is vastly improved. They still working on it but I highly recommend, location was great for our families needs, easy on and off the highway in my opinion, and staff is very nice.

Tony makes your stay great!

In addition to the recent renovations to the property, I must say that Tony, the morning front desk staff presents a quiet professional demeanor. One morning at an hour and a half past the breakfast start time, there was nothing at all laid out. Tony showed up and was "johnny on the spot" with everything, which absolutely made my day and the family with children that recently arrived. Tony did not mutter a single complaint, but simply smiled and took care of business quickly. Extremely courteous!

The young man at the counter, think his name was Antonio, went above and beyond for us. Very friendly and helpful. Even went to stockroom to get us an extra pillow so my husband could be comfortable after eye surgery.
