We had a wonderful experience staying at the Shining Star. Clean room, cleaned plus towels and supplies replenished daily, excellent breakfast buffet. Courteous staff. Also great location, a few minutes walking from most major touristic objectives in Sultanahmet, and a few minutes walking from the airport bus drop off/ pickup. Overall, great budget hotel.

Great location near Haiga Sofia, Basilica Cistern and Blue Mosque. Room are clean and good breakfast. The road was being torn up out front so the lobbybwas a bit messy. Not the fault of hotel staff.

Great place to stay!

Great stay at Shining Star Hotel. Very well located, with a short walk to restaurants and the most popular sights. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The glass floors with a view of the underground ruins are really a treat and the bar area is beautifully finished and very atmospheric - although the wine and beer choice could be better.

We had a wonderful stay. Not only was the staff incredibly friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself was extremely clean and offered a great breakfast. The location was also perfect for sightseeing being close to many attractions. We would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect location, walking distance to everything, close to public transportation. Clean comfortable rooms, good breakfast, super friendly staff. Bery safe surroundings. Very nice property. We will book again if we visit Istanbul.

Modern and very clean hotel very close to all the tourist attractions in Sultanahmet yet in a very quiet side road. Rooms are a good size and very clean. Very good breakfast selection. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially Gunaydin, Serhat, Emre, Yusuf and Ercan. Would definitely stay here again.

It was excellent. Loved the location of the hotel. Loved the view from the room. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. All the attractions, restaurants and shops are within walking distance. We just came off a cruise ship and we’re looking for a quiet hotel near tourist attractions. This is the place. They have double pane windows and the place was extremely quiet. It’s a small hotel, but it’s completely been redone with beautiful modern finishes. The hotel faces a side street and is away from the big street noise. We only intended to stay one night, then look for a different hotel, part of our preplanning. After our first night, we quickly realized that we wanted to stay here for the next two days until we flew back home. The staff was very accommodating. Although the hotel was booked, they somehow managed to get us into another room, which was super quiet as well. Every room in this place appears to be modern, quiet and peaceful. We stayed here for a total of three nights. They had a very nice Turkish breakfast daily. Lastly, I can’t say how friendly and accommodating the hotel staff were. They were able to give us directions, recommendations, and really made us fill part of their hotel family during our stay. They arranged for a taxi to the airport for us also.

Stayed four nights here. Great location, minutes to the major points of interest, steps away to restaurants and shopping, yet on a quiet side street. Faculty looks new, feels new. Breakfast provides plenty of choices, rich in protein and other foods. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will definitely return to this hotel if visiting Istanbul again
