"Hallway carpets stained and there was a stir stick in the middle of the hallway when I arrived, still there when I left. Front desk staff was great."

"Worse than a no-name motel. Rude person at front desk. Rundown rooms with rusty lamps and dirty floors. Bad beds with lumpy pillows. Shower had mold. Soda machine did not work. Do NOT recommend at all. "

"Affordable , building was in rough shape. No housekeeping for multiple night stays. Good short walk to the beach. Recent free breakfast however some variety would be nice (same options every morning). Lazy river was fun for the kids. Always seats available at the pool. Decent value for the money. The ocean view was not an ocean view, maybe a 2 inch strip of ocean between buildings and the view was a parking lot. That was a disappointment. Kids enjoyed the free bike rentals. "

"This was our third stay at the DoubleTree Melbourne. We returned because we like the beds and the location, and because we’ve had good experiences at other DoubleTree hotels. Unfortunately, this one has been by far the worst. The main issue was the front desk. We had reserved a first-floor room with a garden, but they attempted to change our reservation and ultimately gave us one of the worst rooms in the hotel, right next to the parking lot. There was no sense of appreciation for returning guests. The staff came across as arrogant, with forced smiles and little willingness to help—almost every request was met with a “no,” followed by a routine apology without any real solution. It’s disappointing to see how a hotel with great potential can be turned into such an unpleasant experience due to poor service."
