They also helped me figure out how to get where I was going. And to get a taxi. Siliguri in itself is kind of a sketchy area, but it's inexpensive. And they are trying to make the hotel kind of an oasis in the midst. They were doing quite a bit of renovating while I was there, trying to make it really nice. "Our little lodge was fabulous with every creature comfort. Watched peacocks, deer and monkeys from the patio. They cleaned up the room 3 times a day. The staff knocked themselves out at every turn. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Our guide from Pashan Gahr, George, worked so hard to find a tiger and a beautiful tiger ambled right by us! He explained all about the animals and their behavior in that setting. Rocky took good care of us from morning to night."
