I stayed at Melrose for my daughter's birthday. Service was great, great location for us. Building and rooms were clean and updated. Only down side was the breakfast wasn't much options and the wifi never worked for me. But it was over all pretty good

The staff was very nice. the hotel was clean. just a few things in disrepair.... as the door in our bathroom desperately needed to be replaced( the bottom was coming apart ) Pool was very clean

Room was clean and recently painted with new floors, the bathroom was clean but the vent did noy work so when you shower it was filled with mist. The shower tub had some rust stains . The bed was comfortable but the bedsheets had stains. Breakfast needs yo ne improved as its very limited with the options they give.

Although the room was clean and the staff was very nice, the blankets and towels looked dated. The room reminded me of an old motel, and there was an old, musty odor. The shower curtain also needed to be updated. Overall, it didn’t feel worth the price

Excellent staff service, newly renovated, hot breakfast. Coffee was not good too weak. They need to replace their bath towels very thin. Great price. Would stay their again!

I rate the hotel an overall two because the rooms could’ve been cleaner and we had roaches in our room in the bathroom. The beds were super hard and uncomfortable. The Wi-Fi was trash. It did not work half of the time you couldn’t watch movies without the TV lagging breakfast was a joke. The only reason they are rated or two is because staff was OK friendly and nice that’s all other than that for it to be remodel. It was not a good job.

Amazing place to stay! The manager Obe is awesome. And the staff Nick, Sam at front desk great customer service very friendly and helpful. House keeping and kictjen staff awesome as well. Near kemah board walk.Hotel is very clean and comfortable!!!

A wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay! facility was clean, my kids enjoyed it! clean kitchen area from the fridge to the stove, we will definitely return as it was so near many great food choices as well. it was a great getaway the owners were courteous and professional ( friendly as well) the breakfast options were excellent!

Only true negative is no window coverings less a misfit blackout shade.2-3” gap on sides. Not a smart tv, so be aware if you’re planning movie time. Clean, and even sofa bed was comfy.

Home away from home

Staff very friendly and helpful from the time we walked into hotel to check in our room until we check out! Very clean rooms and breakfast with choices from fresh omelettes, fried eggs made to your taste , bagels, cereal, waffles, coffee, fresh fruits , OJ and oatmeal. When in Kemah , we will book here again. Thank you staff for a wonderful stay!!

Great in every way!! 5 minutes to Kemah! 30 minutes to Galveston. Across the street from the best Mexican food around!! Very nice, clean and affordable!!

Clean room. Excellent amenities. My wife really appreciated the remodel and especially the laminate floor in lieu of typical carpets. There was big screen smart TV but the streaming capability was disabled and we could not access Netflix or Youtube. Only way maybe using BYO Roku stick or Chrome cast stick via one of 4 HDMI ports. However, room wifi was less than 5 mbps, inadequate for streaming movies or other content. We were disappointed not able to the big screen for streaming. The TV did offer regular cable channels via dish network i believe. Good breakfast with simple omelet made to order and Texas shaped waffle maker available! Coffee should be stronger for me but maybe good for others. Taste is subjective. Nick was super friendly and gave us a great customer service when the wall HVAC was not blowing hot air the first night. Apparently, just needed to reset but unplugging and replugging the power cable. Thanks Nick! Although excellent parking availability but the indoor pool was not heated even though the outside displayed heated pool as noted by my wife. Overal good stay!

It was clean and nice. A great value. Spilled something on our bed, asked for new beds on the way out to go somewhere, and when we came back it had been changed, no problem. OB is very polite and helpful. The whole place, the whole experience, 2 nights, was a positive one. I’ll stay there again.

Sonesta LAX Overnight

Arrived late at night. Hotel did not seem to observe quiet hours so there was ALOT of noise even at 1200-0130 in the morning. Thermostat was not working so it was very hot inside the room. Cleanliness was top not and the staff are friendly and nice. Not worth the price since no breakfast is included. No fan in the bathroom also so with the sliding barn door to the bathroom there is no privacy.
