"Room was very run down. We booked a room with a tub, but there was only a very moldy shower. We had to listen to sheriff's deputies serving search warrants all night. Rough crowd staying there. We were highly disappointed. Definitely wouldn't stay there again. "

"The stay at Helendorf River Inn was overall decent, with a few notable strengths and one significant drawback. The location is a major advantage, as it is very close to downtown attractions, making it convenient for exploring the area on foot. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout, which made check-in and the overall experience smooth. The room was clean and well-maintained, meeting expectations for comfort and hygiene. The outdoor pool area was a nice feature, although the water was not heated adequately, which limited its usability. The main disappointment, however, was the breakfast. It was falsely advertised as a continental breakfast, but in reality, it consisted mostly of pre-packaged items. There was minimal variety and little apparent effort put into offering a more substantial or fresh selection. Overall, while the service, cleanliness, and location were strong points, the breakfast offering significantly detracted from the experience."

"For a budget hotel, we found the rooms to be clean and fresh smelling, the beds comfy, the pillows plump. The water pressure in the shower was great and there was plenty of hot water. We came before the water park next door was open for the season, but once open, the park may be seen an added perk for those with kids or an annoyance for those without. Breakfast was good. Hot waffles, yogurt, fruit, and pastries. I missed having any hot protein options though. Overall, I am pleased with my value for the money and I rate them a 5 out of 5."

"As advertised - amazing views!Hostess was very responsive and helpful. Coffee pot stopped working after 2nd pot and hostess was quick to respond and brought a brand new one right over even brought over a few coupons from the area. Any questions we had, she responded very quickly, always. She also had plenty of great recommendations from places to eat to cities to visit and Waterfalls to visit. Plenty of space inside and out, for our needs. Fireplace was wonderful and really helped the ambiance of the stay. Driving to the cabin is typical steep mountain drive but is nicely paved and once you do it is not too bad. We had a standard suv and it was fine. Overall would recommend the Perch as a great option. "

"The place was as described, the hostess mediator when we pulled up, she took us around of the back to show us the beautiful walkway down to the river flowing rapidly behind us. Fish were jumping. Perfect location for our journeys to Bell Mountain, gotta go to the top of it. Hiked up to Anna Ruby, Falls, then go to the covered bridge, the next day we spend it in Helen Georgia it’s perfect vacation spot. We will be back."
