It was the worst Experian e I have ever had for a b&b. Both of us have run b&b in the past and know what it takes to be successful. It was dull, dreary and unfriendly. The room lacked any atmosphere, no charts to sit on , only a sort of bed to put suitcase on. There was no wardrobe with a chest of drawers that resembled a filing cabinet.
There are certain rules that should be monltored for b&b by the local authority , in particular re fire prevention, electrical safety etc ,all of which seem to have been ignored. I won’t go further other than to say that breakfast was two poached eggs on a cold plate with a piece of toast to one side with no butter on it. The filter coffee was passable.

I enjoyed stopping at the Hexam B&B the room was clean and the Breakfast was lovely. I would stay there again
A nice comfortable overnight stay. Our room was clean and spacious with plenty of storage space. The en suite bathroom was equally clean and spacious. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The full English breakfast was both delicious and plentiful. Would definitely recommend to others.

The property was in a good location. A 15 minute walk from the train station and very close to other attractions. The owner was frazzled, I thought maybe she had just opened or this was not her full time job but it was. She eventually explained she had been moving and had offered us another room or breakfast at another place, but in all fairness I wanted to just stay where I was.
