My fiance and I had the most wonderful time staying here. We loved the owners! The country charm mixed with warm and friendly staff made us feel welcome and appreciated. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. The walking paths were our favorite as well as the peaceful little pond. We could not have been more pleased and we are already talking about when we'll return. Thank you, Paul for creating such a memorable and lovely time.
The property is a working farm with myriad fowl, emus, sheep, donkey and goat. There are nice walking trails. The bathroom is shared by three rooms, although the other rooms in our area were empty the night we were there. The building is absolutely beautiful, the bed very comfortable and the breakfast very good with fresh fruit and homemade items.
The location, outside of Helena, with great views of the mountains and a serene, countryside atmosphere, were great. The on-location restaurant has great food and very friendly staff. Paul, the manager, was extremely friendly and upgraded us to a suite, which we really appreciated.
The bedrooms are small, with a dated feeling, which is probably due to the history of the place, and that is fair, but should be more clearly disclosed on the website.

We liked the farm to table aspect. Good proximity to downtown but quiet area.
No air conditioning, no accessible refrigerator, no coffee until 7am, bed was too big for room. Breakfast was minimal.

It was very charming with a great concept. However, lodging details were a bit misleading as far as communal bathrooms were concerned. It was quite loud throughout the night with continuous train traffic and being able to hear everything in adjacent room. Was difficult to sleep. The staff we did meet were very friendly and it was clean. We enjoyed our free beverage on the patio at check in. We were disappointed that there was no food left but yogurt and apples in the morning, long before breakfast service was over. We appreciated the unique experience but it wasn’t quite what we were expecting
this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences i've ever had. first, no one answered the phone when i called with questions - three times, no answer.
then i arrived - i had to walk through the restaurant and a (seemingly random) server offered to show me to my room. no receipt, no confirmation, no welcome drink (as advertised). my room had no bathroom (this was not disclosed on the listing) - instead had a community bathroom. again, not disclosed.
i was then not given a key to my room. i decided to risk it & shower, while waiting for my key to arrive. it just didn't. i eventually had to go find someone in the restaurant who asked if i could wait another half hour, which i couldnt, as i needed to grab dinner. he begrudingly got me a key and i left.
the room itself was so small i couldn't open my suitcase (carry on size) anywhere except blocking the door, as a fire hazard. the room also smelled like urine. it was not air conditioned, and a fan was not provided. i would have loved to have asked for one, but again, no one picks up the phone, and there is no front desk.
the walk way path from the parking lot to the front door at night is not lit - it is in disrepair and unsafe. they also don't leave any lights on inside the building itself, not even censored or "candle" lit.
i also didn't expect a tv or anything fancy, but beware there is literally nothing to offer in terms of "things to do". no social space for other guests, no TVs, not even a room phone.
don't stay.
The Oddfellow Inn & Farm seemed historical. The hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly and provided all the needed service. In front of the Inn was a beautiful scenery with a flag pole which is relaxing to watch. Also, the food and dining was well served but, it was pricey. If you enjoy a quiet scenery, this is what I recommend for you.
If you're used to being around animal and hearing their beautiful sounds like we were, this will feel like a home away from home. The sheets were super soft - a small thing, but so comfortable! The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the farm itself is wonderful. Dogs, chickens, goats, pigs, turkeys, etc. all wandering around as if they owned they place - which they do (and should!). So charming and relaxing.

A place with true soul!
My husband and I are still talking about our stay at Oddfellow Inn and Farm. It is an experience to be savored. Walk about and check out the grounds with animals to greet you and a garden full of beautiful vegetables. I had a glorious sleep there with a full moon rising over the farm.

Left alone in the Inn, sad and disappointed.
We arrived and there was no check in, our cell service did not work so we had to text someone and they never replied. We found a kitchen staff person and they said we should have gotten an email will the check in process and our room number. Since we never received anything, she found out which room we were in and the key was in the door. It was a bed, a very, very small end table in a corner and a closet. No bathroom. We had missed the fine print that said shared bathroom and we would not have stayed there. No lamps only internet and an overhead light. We shared a bathroom with four other guest rooms and no sanitation equipment to clean up with or make sure we were not exposed to Covid. The website said they had a restaurant with weekend dining, but it was closed for a private dinner group. We could not get any food or beverages, there was one bottle of water in the room. We had to drive to town to find dinner. In the morning there was a continental breakfast. But no one came and talked to us from the Inn. I have stayed at other B &B’s before and the owner or someone would check on you. So we just got up and got our stuff packed and left by 9 am. Very disappointed. I did not sleep well, because I was worried I could not find a bathroom available to use. Left sadly, as we walked out the door we saw a girl who seemed HS age, who said I hope you had a nice stay. I just said thank you.
Very nice ambiance and the breakfast was good. However, it was not a good night's sleep. The weather that day was extremely hot and although the temp dropped down to about 65F after 1 am, the upstairs room we were in never cooled below about 78F even with window open and fan on high. To make matters worse, there were trains passing by every few hours throughout the night hooting their horns. Perhaps in winter when you can close the windows and the weather is not hot, it would be more comfortable.
Such a lovely place to stay. Great views and a variety of farm animals which were so fun to watch. Highly recommended for any length of stay! Thanks so much 😊
Unique place to stay. A little inn just outside of town. Sit on the expansive porch and enjoy an afternoon of watching the animals graze the yard. The room was comfortable and staff was pleasant.
Nice secluded facility with great food! We grew up on farms so the farm scene and the animals were nice to have. Great patio and very relaxing. Trains during the night were interesting..

I never went nor did I intend to rent a room on that night. The renting programming switched dates on me then told me it is not refundable . I was not even in that state on that night!! This is a nightmare, a very expensive loss. Very unfair. A robbery.
After a 9 day vacation and 2300 miles of driving, we spent our last night here at Oddfellow Inn and Farm. The bed and the linens were truly the absolute best I have ever slept in! AH-MAZE-INGGGG!!!!!!!
What a surprise gem to find! The Inn is charming and warmly inviting.
Our dinner at Maison was absolutely delicious. The French cuisine was the best we had eaten on our entire vacation!
Sitting outside enjoying the views, the spring like weather, the birds chirping, an occasional train in the distance, the beautiful sunset, the gorgeous sunrise as the rooster crows. And the farm animals playful to watch! The breakfast buffet doesn't compare to any other inns or hotels!
Will definitely return and stay again--- only longer!!!!!
This is a beautiful place to stay, the perfect little get away when you are needing a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our stay was so quiet and peaceful, with an old country feel.
Relaxing, welcoming, a 5star restaurant on site.
If you are anywhere in Helena, Montana, the restaurant « maison » is a must if you like fine French dining.
