Good enough for a short stay...

Room was clean and comfortable. It was a corner room with no windows #105. Tbe entire establishment appears to be undergoing a remodel. New air conditioners in the box waiting for installation. Pool area was closed for remodel. Advertised as breakfast included but no sign of that anywhere. Staff was friendly.

I paid at the hotel after making the reservation for 2 rooms for 2 nights online. They charged $50.00 more than I was supposed to be charged. Also the rooms were each supposed to have a King bed but one had double beds. The rooms were clean and the beds are comfortable. Our first night was peaceful. We were up early and gone until late the next night but when we got back one of our rooms door was open and must have been that way all day as the room had fresh towels. After further inspection, it was obvious that the door wouldnt latch unless it was aggressively shut. I advised the office, hopefully it gets fixed. The second night wasnt as peaceful. One of the other patrons had a drunken knock down drag out fight with his co occupant. They threw each other in and out of the room breaking beer bottles in the breezeway. Our experience was unfortunate as we travel often to Hartselle and had hoped to find a place in town to stay to be closer to our family. When we return to Hartselle will again stay in Decatur at other establishments about 10 miles away.

During the booking process, it showed that they would provide complimentary breakfast with the room booking, but when we arrived, they said that they do not serve any complimentary breakfast. We had planned everything accordingly, but this put us in a difficult situation.

I reserved a room with King Bed, received a room with 2 double beds. Showed my email confirmation and reservation to staff and was told they were out of them. I was not wanting a two bed room. It is what it is.

Employee attempted to give me incorrect room and argued with me about my room booking until I pulled up my Expedia app. Very loud guests up @ 3 am being rowdy on a Wednesday morning. Would not recommend unless you are a very very heavy sleeper comfortable with dried bodily fluids on many different surfaces of the room.

Room was clean, but very inconvenient---some of the electricity wasnt working! There was no closet, or areas to hang up clothes. Free breakfast advertised was false! There was none. Pool was not functional, not even able to sit at patio area. Stayed and paid for 2 nights, but room was never cleaned, nor were more washclothes, etc provided. Lobby was closed entire stay. When I complained about paying full price for less than adequate service, the staff was unresponsive.

The room had been renovated, so it looked very nice! The mattress was very firm. The rest of the hotel (lobby area and outside) needs to be renovated. It is ok for a quick one night stay.

Gross beyond belief!

FAMILIES STAY AWAY! Dirty beyond belief! I am pretty sure blood was on the curtain and stains all over the sheets. Bed speed and even box springs. Nasty beyond belief. Lady at desk was nice....probably thinking y’all don’t know where you booked do ya. They did appear to be remodeling as lots of new construction materials were blocking spaces of the parking lot. Including boxes of un opened mattresses and box springs but they looked as if they had been rained on and dried several times ewwww. keep driving I know we should have

Just Okay

With prior reviews, I was expecting a bit nicer accommodation. It appears the owner is working on updating the rooms, but we had some dirt (no bugs) and things like pizza cheese? from prior person in the room info folder when I opened it up. Towels were very rough. AC wasn't on when we got to the room, and a very humid day, so sheets were damp. Turned on AC and room cooled well, but still had the dampness to contend with. The staff at check in was very friendly.

Stayed there 3 nights, for a disc golf tournament there at Sparkman Park. Great proximity to the park, rooms were clean, and staff very friendly. We will be back!

Such a relaxing spot

The lady who owns this establishment with her husband. She was so warm and kind. The room was extremely clean. Nice quiet little getaway!!! I will be returning soon.
