Some good, Some not so good.
The room was spacious and clean. I get the feeling this was once a beautiful hotel but is now dated and showing signs of neglect. The shower is a poor design that floods the bathroom. The cold water quit and we couldn’t flush the toilet. No restaurant.
The staff were very nice.
The price was reasonable.
The hotel's main appeal is the view on Halong Bay, given you have the right room. Besides that its rather run down and lacks the service quality you would expect from a four-star hotel.
For example the breakfast, which is supposed to be a buffet. However on 2 of our 3 days there they simply cancelled it without any previous communication, only offering stale bread, an omelette and fruit. On top of this there were people smoking in the food area, which did not increase its appeal.
The second example is our experience when booking a transfer with them to Hanoi. We confirmed with the hotel that the driver would drop us off about 2 to 3 km from our hotel in Hanoi three times, with the exact address. In the end the driver dropped us off over 25 km away from our hotel! When we contacted them on the phone to help us they simply kept insisting that we need pay for a taxi by our own. In fact they even hung up on us twice since we did not want to accept that! So ultimately we had no choice than to organize the rest of the trip ourselves, having to pay an overpriced taxi out of our own pocket and loosing 2 hours of time in the process.
This is certainly extremely unprofessional and pathetic behavior for a supposedly 4-star hotel. Do not stay there!
it is terrible and far from anywhere to go. every single time must take a taxi to go to eat and sightseeing. i would definetly not recomend this plece if anyone to visit hanoi, i would not recomend this hotel. Specially hotel service was sheet. do not trust hotel recomendation. there taxi fee and tourship fee charged 3 time more expensive than regular fee.

호텔이용 후기
호텔이 안쪽에 위치하고 있어서 주변에 식당도 없고 불편함
단, 바다전망 뷰는 예쁩니다. 바닷가 번화가 쪽과 떨어져 있고 택시로 이동해야함.

I stayed here on the 23/7/19 and the hotel is currently doing some maintenance. I was on the 16th floo
There is no place to eat around the hotel and to take ten min. walk, restaurants in the mart. Employees are so kind and clean though it is a little old building.
Nice and comfortable large hotel conveniently located to enjoy the attractions of Ha Long City. We had a great view from our room on the 17th floor, the bathroom was clean and modern and the staff at reception were very polite and helpful. Breakfast lacked international options as I think the hotel largely caters to Chinese guests. If guests intend to visit Ha Long Bay by cruise boat Tuan Chau harbour is a little far but taxis are cheap so not too much of a problem.

Ok Hotel
Das Hotel war soweit ok, jedoch ist jedoch in die Jahre gekommen. Der Teppich im Zimmer hat leicht gerochen, aber sonst ganz gut. Das Zimmer war sehr gut und das Bett sehr bequem.
Wasn't sure what to expect from the hotel as many of the reviews were luke warm. It's true that it needs a bit of an upgrade to its decor, much of it is looking tired. However, if you've stayed in any chain US hotels then the experience is broadly similar. Rooms are big, showers too. Views out of the window are pretty cool, too as it's probably the tallest building in this part of town. Breakfast here can be a bit of a scrum as can be typical of SE Asia hotels when big Chinese groups are staying. Food was OK. The location suited me as I'm always keen to look around on foot and it's close to the main market and the fishing port where they land their catch. Spent a good half day just watching local life go on, plenty of colour if you like taking pictures. If you like shopping malls then Vincom Plaza is just around the corner. Was originally tempted to stay at one of the more resort hotels, glad I didn't.
This hotel is great for the views of Halong Bay; thats the only reason we stayed here in Hon Gai and not closer to the main port.
The area itself is quiet which was fine after spending time in Hanoi and there are a few good local places to eat in the evenings.
The Family Suite has the best views so go for one of those; the suite itself was huge so plenty of room if just two of you.
Breakfast was a bit mental so I had Pho instead on both mornings :)
