Beautiful property with kind and friendly staff. I had a lovely massage at the spa. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at the restaurant 1812. About 7 mins drive to Bayeux. A good place to base yourself for tours of the region.

We absolutely loved the property, the restaurant was very good for breakfast and dinner! Mike was very helpful with whatever we needed. I would definitely return and spend time and the spa and to enjoy more of the hotel.

Stay was very nice, staff were welcoming and facilities were excellent. Great location for exploring Normandy. Only negative was the restaurant menu was limited in choice, and was the same for the 4 night we stayed.

I gave this hotel a five-star rating in every category without hesitation. I can honestly say that this is one of the finest hotels I've ever stayed in. No detail is left unattended, no question by staff or request unanswered, no disappointment in food quality,and obviously, no maintenance deferred in the facility or spacious grounds and rooms. This is a sign of outstanding management and careful selection of staff. I heartily recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to get away from the busyness of life and the chaos in our current fast-paced environment. I especially suggest it for peace and the appreciation of elegance and beauty and everything being as it should be. for me, it was the perfect place for a base for Normandy World War II sight and museum visits.

Beautiful hotel in country park setting just a few minutes drive from Bayeux. Room was spacious, clean and well-equipped. Good buffet breakfast (though some items ran out before the end) and enjoyed a very nice dinner in the hotel restaurant. An excellent base for visiting Bayeux and the Normandy beaches.

Fabulous chateau!!!! The staff was so helpful. They were able to get me a driver for the following day to take us all over...perfect way to get around and see all the WWII museum, beaches, cemetery, etc. The breakfast was excellent. We had dinner there also and it was outstanding. I will be coming back and will be sending my friends there to stay. IT's a winner!!!!!!

A hidden gem only 9 minutes from the center of Bayeux! Gorgeous property in a charming village. Rooms and grounds were tastefully decorated in a traditional with a modern twist style. Very elegant. Much better than it appears on their website. I highly recommend if going to DDay tour or exploring Normandy.

Gorgeous setting in a beautiful chateau. Huge, well-appointed rooms, lovely grounds, cozy lounge. Easy drive to Bayeux for restaurants/shopping. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights and loved it. The only downside is that the breakfast was overpriced for what it was, but you can skip it.

Not enough superlatives to describe our three day stay. Simone, Violin and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The Chateau is situated in the countryside just 2 miles from the beautiful town of Bayeux. Perfect location for nice walks and for touring the D-Day sites. Note: it’s a 15 euro trip to/from Bayeux. Worth it.

The Hôtel Château Saint-Gilles was absolutely stunning. The grounds were immaculately cared for and the rooms were modern and spacious. The location of this hotel requires a rental car. We did not have one and had to use taxis/Ubers to get into the town of Bayeux that were very expensive. One major frustration for us was that we booked two rooms and the rooms were not near each other at all-in fact they were in separate buildings. When we asked for one of the rooms to be moved, they said they did not have availability. Typically, when a family books two rooms, they need or want to be near each other. We had breakfast at the hotel one morning and found it quite disappointing for the price. We chose to eat breakfast in Bayeux following that. We were here for a short stay and wish we had more time to explore the amenities the hotel had to offer.
