  • These woods offer a great hiking trail along old forest trails and streams. There are plenty of places to fish and while I was there I met a few people bolder climbing. This is an old fireplace about three miles into the trail. The original house dated back to the early to mid eighteen hundreds. Originally this was a one room house where the only source of heat is the only part still standing.

This is an older hotel, but it is well kept up and extra clean. The owners/staff are super nice. We felt comfortable and safe. I thought it was a great price and I would stay here again.

It was perfect for a night on the road. The shower in room 113 was broken into two pieces, which was difficult to maneuver. Worked great once we figured it out! Quiet and pleasant. Towels were dingy.

Courteous and cozy!

Super courteous, pleasant, and efficient check-in. I have read some of the reviews about it needing updates and while that is true...it is clean, simple, and cozy. You can tell they take pride in your room. Check-out was easy, quick, and pleasant. I would stay here again.

There was NO breakfast, there was NO coffee, not even bad coffee. The stay was not worth what it cost to stay there. We will stay and spend more next time for more amenities. The phrase you get what you pay for comes to mind.

Nothing fancy but everything I needed was there. The beds and the bedding were wonderful and looked to have been very recently replaced. Nice tv with numerous stations. The room was very clean! No breakfast included but there was a McDonalds in front of the parking lot and a Waffle House right beside that. Microwave, fridge and coffeemaker in the room. Sofa was a sleeper though I didn’t need that. Iron and ironing board in the room. The room my brother in law was in was their last available room and the renovations had not been completed. Since he is disabled there were some needed adjustments and several people came right in and we took care of those in just a few minutes. It appears they are making that one on the ground floor handicapped assessable and the bathroom has already been done and was plenty specious for his large walker or a wheelchair. No walk in shower but all the handicapped railings were there. The room was large enough to bring his motorized scooter in and get it plugged in. I shared with them the things to do to make it more handicapped friendly. The outdoor area I did not have time to use and too cold to use the adorable pool which does have a handicapped lift chair. There was a fire pit with ample seating and grill beside that and on the other side of the pool area a really cute gazebo with porch swings. There was free Wi-Fi that worked perfectly. I don’t know if they have completed all their renovations. Nicest owners ever!!
