"Had a lovely stay here. Room was sufficient, bathroom was clean. Bed was comfy. It's in a great location. 15 mins from train station. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was a cold buffet, cereals, toast, yogurt, pasties anc coffees, teas, orange juice. Great, would stay here again."

"The hotel is an old inn in Johnshaven, a fishing village at least 10 miles outside of Montrose, in Aberdeenshire not Angus. Lovely setting near the harbour. The family room had a double bed and two single beds in a separate section. Shower room was small but well maintained. A small heater kept the room warm which was good because the weather was terrible on the first day. The bar/ dining area was lovely, the staff were all super and the food was excellent. Seafood was a speciality although there was a wide choice of dishes. People obviously came from all round to eat there and there was a lively atmosphere. We would certainly go back."

"The house is perfect for a larger group to stay together. We particularly loved the large kitchen and dinning space and spent most of our evening time around the table playing games, even getting our teenagers to join in! The beds were wonderfully comfortable and there was plenty of towels to go around. Two small suggestions would be, 1- replace the sofas in the livingroom, they are dreadful. So uncomfortable i'm sorry to say. And 2- With this being a winter stay, and a big old house, it would have been lovely if the hosts had put the heating on or set the timer on the system prior to our arrival. It took quite a long time to warm the house up initially. However, that said, we loved the house, the location and our stay, thank you! X"
