The staff were all very friendly and attentive, dinner in the library was fabulous and breakfast was perfect. We even had good weather. Will definitely stay again"

"Highlights are the centre-of-town location, the restaurant/breakfast room and lovely character of the hotel. Staff were friendly and room was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was good, ours being cooked-to-order but the buffet ‘full-English’ was less appealing (bacon not replenished and fried eggs that looked like they had been standing for some time - the latter should be cooked fresh to order). Decor in places (corridors especially) due for a refresh and the outlook of our first-floor room was into a ‘well’ facing other rooms’ windows. Overall a pleasant one-night stay and walkable to the City hospital."
