Staff were very welcoming and everything was kept pretty neatly. Walls a little thing given it’s an older hotel and you could hear most everything going on outside but wasn't intolerable.

Good two nights sleep.

The staff was kind and polite. The room was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. There was only 2 things I have to complain about. The first the door lock to the outside didn't work and it made me feel uncomfortable and not safe. I had to block the door just to feel a little better. Second it said they offer free breakfast and there was not breakfast at all. Other than that my two night stay was nice. I would stay there again.

Little let down but still would stay again

The staff was kind and polite. The room we stayed in on of the bed sheets had black stains. When we first got into the room there was a strong smell of musty and wet paint. Once we turned the air on and opened the door for a little bit the smell was gone. They came and cleaned the room while we were gone but didn't change the stained sheets. Online it states that they have breakfast and there was nothing. They have a large refrigerator in the lobby but is say "staff only". Otherwise our weekend stay was nice and beds are comfortable

Roach Motel Do not stay

There were roaches in our room. We were offered another room. Roaches again. Management did not care and Hotels.com was zero help. Neither would not refund us. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your money.

Reconsider

This is a terrible hotel. We went to our room which had a horrible moldy smell. The air conditioner wasn’t cooling and made everything smell worse. The floor was dirty and there were little bugs crawling all over the light fixtures. We had to cancel and stay in another hotel.

The air conditioner filter was dirty enough to see the dirt through the vent. The room had a very strong, strange odor. Possibly an "air freshener" in the ac unit? It was overpowering. If you are sensitive to scents, it would not be good. The floor had debris on it with what looked like boot prints. It obviously had not been swept or mopped. The mirrors looked like someone had taken a dirty rag and quickly wiped them down so that it left circular streaks when the water dried. This room was NOT worth over a hundred dollars for one night. Maybe 40 if you just need a roof over your head for a night. The lady that checked us in was fine. The room a disappointment.

The hotel was under renovation, my room had a strong paint smell , so bad I had to buy air freshener. The mirror in the bathroom was broken and the clothes hangers had rust and a thick coat of dust on them .I had to clean the room. Hopefully it will be better after the renovation.

housekeeping tried to access my room at 8 am. i asked them to please come back later. they knocked on my door again at 830. please go away. they tried to open my door at 9 am and i again told them i was not ready to check out. at 10 am old bitty opened my door and told me i had to get out now! check out was at 11..... when i loaded my car to leave and was setting gps, she came around the corner and stood in front of my car staring at me . i rolled the window down and asked her what was the problem. she yelled at me and asked if i was finally done with the room. poor bitty and poor staff. never stay at this dive.

Clean, but Aging

It is, indeed, an inexpensive and adequate old-style motel. It was clean, although the age of the facility definitely showed. The AC was too noisy to sleep through without ear-plugs, but running the unit for several hours during the day was enough to keep the room temperature cool through the night. The Best Value is centrally located in Giddings, right on 290, which runs through the center of town, so that was a good thing for me. The traffic noise on the road was not especially noticeable. This is not a luxury stay by any means - but perfectly adequate as a place to spend a couple of nights at a good price.

Disgusting

This was the most disgusting, nastiest place I've ever stayed in my life! The sheets had stains, the walls had patches over many many holes, the ceiling was falling in over shower, etc, etc. If I were hotels.com, I would exclude listing this. Totally gross! What little I slept, in my clothes, was with the lights on....ugh...was ripped off.
