Perfect place for a getaway. Located right on the river, old world charm hotel, beautiful rooms and amenities. Down town Geneva filled with great restaurants and shops. Will stay here again.

What a great place to stay

Amazing stay. No real issues. Only a small complaint. They only gave us 1 cookie for turndown service when there was 2 people in the room. Highly recommend this place.

The Herrington Inn does not honor Hotels.com or Expedia reservations, yet both websites continue to book rooms, and when I arrived at hotel, there is no reservation and no available rooms and Hotels.com leaves you stranded.

Expedia doesn’t have an account with this hotel so we didn’t have a reservation, thankfully they still had a room available. I’m done using Expedia, very disappointed in your service. Management said they haven’t had a contract with you for 10 years!!!! Why is it still listed??

Stayed here for my nephews wedding which was also at the inn. Rooms are gorgeous! Only issue was our fireplace wouldn’t stay lit. Beautiful room overlooking courtyard and fox river. Small breakfast in lobby area. Had fruit, danishes, meat and cheese, etc. wedding venue was gorgeous and food was awesome. Geneva is a nice quaint town with cool shops, pubs, etc!

Lots of character

The Herrington is a unique, boutique hotel in the cute town of Geneva. The courtyard views are a nice overlook of the Fox River and there is a paved trail that runs along the river.

Paid for the best room as a wedding gift for bride and groom. When they arrived at the room it was Occupied! Then was given a substandard room. Door did not lock, fireplace did Not work & parts were dirty. They complained to management & they did nothing for them. When we complained all they did was, after much rude discussion on the part of hotel, was refund us the $100 difference in the rooms. We are embarrassed this happened on their Wedding night! This should never have happened for a $450 room!!

Great views and location. Rooms were unique compared to regular hotel rooms. Great bathrooms. Loved the milk and cookies at night. Great service. The only cons were that our AC had an issue night 1 (promptly fixed), and the wifi in our room was spotty (worked in the hall and bathroom, but very inconsistent in the bedroom and on the deck)

Great Stay in Geneva

Wonderful stay! While my husband golfed I had the best day ever. I did yoga facing the river, read my book on the patio, enjoyed a spa service and took a Jacuzzi bath. Great amenities and location.

We arrived and they had given our room away. We thus had 4 adults to one king size bed- they sent roll aways, but we still did not sleep well. They took 50 dollars off the bill but in my opinion, at least half should have been taken off the final bill, if not all.
