No WiFi....

Nice and beautiful hotel but no WiFi connection inside the room. They are willing to change me into another room but that room is smaller and the WiFi is not in a good connection too.

Clean, nice hotel with a very comfy bed. Hotel is located in the middle of Galle Fort close to the main road padlar street.

Lovely colonial property in the middle of the Fort, Art Deco theme is continued throughout. Didn’t eat there as breakfast seemed very expensive; there is a huge variety of eateries nearby, from trendy cafes to high class dining, to small local shops. Suite was comfy, although the bathroom separated bedroom from living area, so it wasn’t one large space. Didn’t use living area. No dark curtains over nets so light let in in morning.

This is a really beautiful Art Deco Hotel which was faultless in its presentation. Our room and bathroom were huge, clean and beautifully decorated. The swimming pool is also lovely. The staff were wonderful - always friendly and helpful. We have stayed in many hotels on our travels over the last four months and this was the first to surpass our expectations in practically every way. One of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in - highly recommended.

The manager is a disgrace, with no understanding of hospitality. Shouted agressively at me and our driver after not agreeing to pay for my driver's accomodation despite emailing us to say they would beforehand. Ruined our 1st night in Sri Lanka in what would otherwise have been a nice hotel.

Great stay in Galle Fort

This is the second time we stayed at Deco on 44. It is a lovely hotel in the center of Galle Fort. The rooms are large and either face the pool or have an attached large balcony. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is good!

Great one night stay

Great one night stay in Galle Fort. Junior suite room very spacious and comfortable. Great little pool to allow you to cool down at the end of the day . Great breakfast and the staff even made a juice from the wood apples we bought locally. Lovely Deco hotel ideally located for wandering around the fort area, restaurants shops, museums, etc.

Klassische Stadtvilla mit Pool in super Lage

Sehr schoene alte stadtvilla in perfekter lage. Wir sind ins deco on 44 wegen des pools der lage und des charmes gegangen. Pool war super zur abkuehlung zwischendurch. Lage ist einfach perfekt um galle fort zu entdecken. Restaurants gibt es unzaehlige in der umgebung. Der flair des hotels ist wirklich sehr schoen und klassisch. Personal super nett und professionell. Fruehstueck war sehr. Lecker. Sri lanka option waehlen! Der preis ist der lage geschuldet. Ich wuerde eher 3 als 4 sterne geben aber die echten 4 sterne Nachbarn kosten auch mehr

Good for a night or two

Good location in Galle. Hotel has nice breakfast. Rooms are ok, very basic but clean. Power turns on and off quite a bit.
