"This hotel was very clean and looked very new. The room was really big by Japanese standards and the layout was great! Breakfast was a good value as well. Check in/out was easy. I'd recommend this hotel instead of some other ones that are closer to the train station because those looked rather dated by comparison. This property was a 20 min walk from the station or a 7 min taxi ride. There's plenty of restaurants around the hotel. It will likely be my go to when I'm in Tsuchiura again."

"You get your own parking spot right out front of your room. The room itself is a nice size. There’s a vending machine and washing machine onsite as well. Nothing in regards to dining or shops in the area which was okay as we were just passing through for the night. We were only given one pillow between the two of us and when we requested for a second we were told that we had to pay? "This traditional merchant house converted hotel is lovely. We own the entire building with two floors. One tiny living room on the ground floor, a bath house, a separate toilet near the entrance, along with a spacious bathroom with the second living room on the second floor. It’s airy and full of scent of wood. However, the bedroom is facing the road without sound proof windows, it was very noisy throughout the night. "
