"Wow what a great location and view from our pool view room. From our courteous welcome, tour of facilities to breakfast and departure everything was great and it’s clear a tight ship is run. The minibar is well stocked . Water is available for a fee. Breakfast is more than adequate with a choice of yogurts fruits pastries and cooked items. Although walkable, in the heat we would recommend using Uber to Franschoek. It is better value than the local taxis. Relax by the pool, enjoy the Mountain View in the evening. Enjoy a glass of wine! As a side not , although Expedia may take Amex, the guesthouse does not and you will need to use Visa or MCard"

"Warm welcome. Beautifully decorated room with all the necessary features. Very comfortable bed and flexible bathroom (small point- water pressure in the bath could be better). The plunge pool was relaxing with enough chezlongue for all guests. Food was very good with an interesting contrast between Epice and Protege. Would highly recommend for a relaxing breqk or longer holiday. We already considering when we can go back."

"Loved this place. Really charactful and full of charm. Excellent hosts. Very good sized bedroom with great en-suite. Excellent breakfast. Cold buffet and cooked. Reasonable sitting out area with pool. Situated only a me block back from Main Street and restaurants. Highly recommend. We’ll be back if in Franschhoek in the future. "

"We had a really lovely stay at Vive. The room was really big and the bed so comfortable. Breakfast each morning was excellent and the staff were so attentive and efficient. Nice little seating area by the pool. Great location for restaurants, coffee shops and the main wine tram station. "

"A really lovely stay, felt like a home from home with the staff when we arrived. Everything very clean and tidy. Breakfast options excellent, fresh and tasty but a little slow depending on when you went down. Pool area great, only strange thing was the pool cleaner and pipe was left in 24/7 so you had to swim around it. Pool was immaculate though because of it 😊 Would definitely recommend and will stay again when visiting! "
