Located on the ground floor of what was once an iconic Nile's Bakery, 'Crimpers Cottage' is a beautiful new coastal apartment, right in the centre of Fowey.

With plenty of modern amenities to keep guests of all ages entertained, the open-plan living area boasts a Smart TV and free Wi-Fi for when you're ready to snuggle up on the sofa, plus a small courtyard for soaking up the Cornish sunshine.

For cosy suppers, the kitchen's breakfast bar seats 4 guests, or for more formal dinners enjoying the local fayre, the open plan dining area also seats 4. The fully-equipped kitchen contains oven, electric hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, kettle, Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine, cafetiere and toaster.

Bedroom 1 at Crimpers Cottage has a king-size bed, Smart TV, hairdryer and ironing facilities with access to the courtyard, with Bedroom 2 housing a king, an en-suite shower room and additional Smart TV. The two bedrooms also share a beautiful, contemporary bathroom with shower over tub, heated towel rail and White Company toiletries.

Situated in the heart of historic Fowey, both Crimpers Cottage and The Old Bakery are ideal for those looking to get a taste of true Cornish living. Step outside the front door and enter a world of quaint, cobbled streets, bustling bakeries and cosy cafes - it's reassuring to know that come breakfast-time, fresh pastries and other treats are just a sunny stroll away! Just a few minutes walk from the cottages, guests can also happen upon the Yacht Club, Fowey Aquarium and a bevvy of exceptional seafood restaurants, as well as a wealth of boutiques and local traders for spontaneous souvenirs and holiday must-haves. These beautiful cottages provide the perfect base camp for those wanting to escape to Cornwall, but prefer a whole host of amenities within walking distance.

The joy of Fowey can also be recognised in it's easy access to the rest of Cornwall; the nearest sandy beach at Polkerris (along with the outstanding 'Sam's on the Beach') is just a short 10 minute drive along pretty country lanes, the internationally acclaimed Eden Project just 15 minutes away and epic kayak adventures in nearby Golant, again, just 10 minutes away. For those seeking some of the UK's greatest watersports, the thriving North coast of Cornwall is just a 45-minute drive from Fowey, with surfing hotspots Polzeath and Newquay easy to find and providing an unforgettable day out.

Please note there is no private parking available due to the historic (and narrow) nature of Fowey's streets. There are however a number of secure, council-operated car parks just a few minutes walk from the property, at which week-long parking passes are available. Compact apartment in central location

The best thing about this apartment is the location - away from the crowds but right in the middle of the town, so no hill to climb. We had an elderly person in our party and chose it for that reason. The conversion is recent so facilities are modern - but not high end. The most has been made of limited space, but there is not much natural light. This is a great holiday base for 4 people in beautiful Fowey, but not a space you would want to spend a lot of time in. Luckily, the weather was good!
