It was a very relaxing stay at this hotel. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was fabulous very relaxing with blue lights in the shower. I enjoyed the spa. The only problem is you need to make reservations for the pool/sauna/hotub and sometime that might be inconvenient.

A little pricey but well worth it. 10-15 min walk to city center but location is great with short 5 min drive to main train station. Rooms are huge and rain shower is amazing after a long day of sightseeing. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

I loved the hotel and staff who were so friendly and the oasis of the spa and garden was wonderful after a long day exploring Florence. It’s a little out of the centre but easily accessible on foot in 15 minutes. All roads lead to the Duomo, piazza Santa Maria Novella, or the tram station (very close). The pizza and Gelato experience was the best event we organized. . Skip the line Accademia was a disaster- ended up queuing with the general public and collection instructions vague. Best experience was talking to Fillipo - a florentine fashion designer whose family has lived close to the Uffizi for over 500 years. A very elegant, engaging, and stylish man who gave our visit that extra sparkle!

We had an amazing stay at Palazzo Castri 1874 Spa & Garden. The hotel staff were always very friendly, hotel immaculately clean, spa was fantastic, food was scrumptious and the location was exceptional, so close to the main tourist spots in Florence. It was so easy to get from Florence airport to the hotel too. We took a tram from the airport which cost under 2 euros per person and the journey from the airport to the tram station nearest to the hotel ( Fortezza) was under 30 mins, the walk from this tram station to the hotel was under 10 mins! I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short break and we shall be going back there again.

Everything was great and the hotel was very nice. It’s just the little details that kept me from giving 5 stars. It sounded like construction or maintenance all hours late at night. And the electronics were outdated so we could not connect to the TV for Netflix. but please know! Everything else was wonderful and the breakfast was the best breakfast we have ever had in a hotel. The staff were amazing and I would recommend this place to everyone
