The property is a bit older but it has all you need for a comfortable stay and it’s clean. I think the oldness of the property & room is part of its charm. Usually with outdated rooms, it’s not a clean room but that is not the case here. I found it very clean. The gentlemen at the front desk was very friendly and told me where I could grab a bite to eat. I would definitely stay again if I’m ever around passing through. It’s very convenient to Gloss Mountain State Park as well as the Great Salt Plains Wildlife Refuge where you can dig for Selenite crystals.

We could tell they were in process of remodeling. For the price I say we scored and the hospitality from the employees was better than we have experienced at more expensive 0laces. We would stay agon if ever in the area.

Good for a quick, solo trip.

My stay was pleasant, and good for a quick trip! (2 night stay) The check in details say no front desk. I discovered upon arrival that the owners likely live behind the front desk area, and all you need to do is ring the bell and they will assist you with check in at the desk. The lady was very pleasant and kind, and waiting for me to arrive for check in. The room was simple but clean, except for the shower curtain which needs to be changed as it had a bit of mildew on it. It’s a very safe location, which I appreciated while traveling as a single female who left my key in the outside door on the first night of my stay. I wasn’t able to utilize the WiFi which was posted inside the door of my room. I didn’t use room service during my stay. They could use an update on towels and headboards, but the cleanliness is most important for me, and that was very acceptable. I’d stay again for a short trip, as the cost was $50 less than the location across the street!

Fair for overnight

Management was so watchful, it appeared they were suspicious of us.. Chairs set up at the tiny table where rickety and not at all usable.. Heating/air conditioning unit was very loud, but it worked adequately. All in all the facility was fine for an overnight stay. Not as comfortable for several days though. We reserved the room online. Chose this one because it was pet friendly. However, when we arrived I advised we had a pet. She said it cannot get on the beds. The Fur will stick to the blankets badly. That will make them hard to wash. She said if we had called her to make the reservation (sounded reprimanding] , she would have advised us to bring a crate. That's what she does when people have pets. My pet does not use a crate, so that made me uncomfortable. However, when I saw the blankets, I understood. The bed spread and the sheets are fine, but - the blankets are scratchy wool blankets much like they used in the World War II era. You had to for sure keep the blankets between the bed spread and the sheets because they were very uncomfortable if they were on your skin.
