Very clean hotel and room. Very friendly staff.
Very charming hotel. With a clean feel of era long passed. Gallagher Bar downstairs had good food and friendly staff. Very convenient since eating in the area is quite limited.
Loved this beautiful old hotel, the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Very conveniently located in the historic downtown. My only hesitation to recommend it to some folks would be if you went the wrong direction you would quickly enter a small group of homeless people. I had no problems however and walked all over the historic downtown to see the lovely Victorian architecture, the pretty waterfront, the murals and to many wonderful restaurants.
I got excellent recommendations for local restaurants and things to do and see from the staff. I will stay here afain happily!
The room was pretty clean and cute.
Loved that they included noise machines since they are on a street that gets late night bar visitors.
The inside of the hotel was super quiet.
They have cute events all the time in the ballroom type area.
The employees are nice.
Downsides
They didn’t refill the coffee or hot water even on busy days. I overheard the manager trying to correct this after the weekend, so it might unusual.
There were no TVs, irons, or mini fridges. My group all got different price level rooms and it was still seemed like most of us didn’t get TVs or fridges. I don’t think anyone had an iron.
My closet had 1 hanger and if you need the room cleaned you have to tell them the day before at 7pm.
Everything about this historic property was above and beyond our expectations. Delightful staff, and though we were there for a special event, the live music and great drinks topped the evening. We will be back soon!
We loved everything about this property. We stayed here because it was historic and it lived up to everything we hoped for. The staff was so nice and helpful and made us feel absolutely welcome. The restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced.
Wife and I spent 4 nights in Eureka and found this hotel. Great location, with walking distance to most of good restaurants in town. There are a fair amount of homeless or down on their luck around but we never had any problems. Probably common for California. The hotel is a classic old dame and our room was very unique but cozy. Lots of early 1900 charm but bathroom was modern, roomy and worked well. Recommend this place for people that want a unique, old time experience. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
The Eagle House with the Inn at 2nd and C was just so beautiful. We stayed on the 4 floor and when you exit the elevator it throws you back to a time of elegance and grace. The staff is just the best. So welcoming and ready to help out. we will see you all again thanks!
