Nice hotel

Very clean hotel and friendly staff. You can walk to the beach and if you are fit can also walk to the medina but taxis are cheap so if you prefer getting somewhere quick the medina is a five minute drive. Try the fish at the fish restayaunts or a tagine inside one of thhe medina restaurants.

exterieur au centre ville mais proche tout de même

bon hotel avec un bon acceuil pas si loin que cela du centre ville par petit taxi (5dh) .en prenant la possibilitée internet de 75 Euro les 3 nuits cela est une très bonne option pou visiter Essaouira.

Muy cómoda , funcional y moderna.Se pueden ver partidos de futbol en el bar y tomar cerveza o alguna bebida alcoholica, ya que en marruecos es dificil conseguir.

schoen ruhig gelegen

Bewunderswerte leistung des service-personals waehrend des ramadans. Viele parkplaetze. Beim fruehstueck wuenscht man sich etwas obst. Die stoffbezuege der sitzgelegenheiten im salon sind schmuddelig. Die lage des hotels ist gut, viele buchten sind leicht erreichbar mit auto.

Hôtel un peu ex-centré mais il est facile de trouver des taxis à proximité pour se rendre en ville, bien entretenu, la piscine est agréable si les températures permettent de s'y tremper.L'accueil y est correct.

Tres convenables

peu de monde en cette saison, restauration uniquement au bar mais pas dérangeant. piscine sympa, chambre tres correct, mais manque mini frigo. Couloir un peu sombre. Je recommmande tout de meme pour son bar, piscine, wifi , non loin de la plage, mais un peu plus de la medina, vite accessible tout de meme.

Avis hotel

Un des meilleurs Ibis trouvés sur la route France-Maroc. L'accueil es très sympathique et l'hôtel très bien tenu. Nous regrettons qu'il n'ait été qu'une escale sur notre retour et que nous n'ayons pu profiter de la piscine mais, ce n'est que partie remise !

Nice pool. Not central. Realistic distances= 10 min walk to beach. at least 30-40 min walk to Medina, along the beach front mostly though. Taxi back is only 10 DH (about 80p) so fine as long as you don;t want to be right in the medina.

Excellent Hotel

A great hotel. I stayed here as it was close to the windsurf centre. The room was a good quality hotel. Clean and comfortable. Great shower. The hotel staff were really helpful printing out some documents for me. I ate in the hotel one evening and the food was good. There is a decent bar too. The only thing that may put some people off is it's location. It's great if you are going kitesurfing or windsurfing as it's near the beach and the centres but that means it's about 20 minutes walk to town. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Cheap & Cheerful in Essaouira

The Ibis in Essauaouira is a newly built hotel on the outskirts of the city centre of Essaouira. Whilst it doesn't have the charm of the many Riads in the Medina, it does come with free parking, a cheap buffet breakfast, pool, and a bar serving alcohol. I stay in Marocco regularly and the Ibis is a no-frills but consistently clean and modern hotel chain.

Allmänt småstökigt

Brukar hellre avstå från att skriva recention än att skriva och beklaga mig, men detta Ibis var så undermåligt att jag måste skriva och avråda från det. På Ibis får man det man betalar för. D.v.s. samma standard oavsett vilket Ibis man tar in på, dock oftast prisvärt. Tidigare under vår Marocko-resa bodde vi på Ibis i Fes. Synnerligen trevligt och välskött i motsats till Ibis Essaouria. - Direkt dålig städning, som dessutom aldrig var färdig innan kl. 5 på eftermiddagen. Mer regel än undantag att handdukarna var borttagen och vi fick jag runt för att erhålla ny. - Hotellet ligger i utkanten av stan och det var faktiskt riktigt svårt att få petit taxi där = långa promenader i blåsten. - Restaurang/bar området bland det mest tråkiga och sterila vi någonsin upplevt. Avspeglade sig också i det fåtal gäster som åt och drack där. - Kaotisk frukostservering. Enda chansen att få en någorlunda komplett frukost var att var uppe tidigt. Vid niotiden var det alltid något som var slut både mat samt koppar/tallrikar och vid påfyllning uppstod nästan handgemäng. Att t.o.m saltet var slut under flera dagar säger det mesta. Att man själv fick lov att plocka bort föregående gästers sopor behöver inte tilläggas. - Poolen. Alldeles för få solstolar kan man acceptera, men att vuxna kvinnor badade fullt påklädda i sina traditionella dräkter var direkt motbjudande. Hände gång på gång trots att det fanns badvakt och framkom klart på tre språk att baddräkt och dusch var obligatoriskt. Äckligt vi avstod från bad. Påpekande i receptionen mottogs med ett flin. Detta ställe är i behov av en kompetent ledning

Ideal hotel for our needs

We visited Essaouira for 18 nights in July 2010 for a beach/kitesurfing holiday. We chose the Ibis hotel due to its location - about 5 minutes walk from the water sports centre of the beach. The hotel is very European and does lack Moroccan character but it does provide air conditioning and a swimming pool, both of which seem to be quite rare in Essaouira. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff are helpful and the rooms adequate though on the small side. Breakfasts were not included though we did have breakfast at the hotel some days - this was a good standard of continental breakfast. The hotel is ideally situated for those visiting Essaouira for water sports, however less so for general tourism as the medina is about a 25 minute walk away. That said, the walk is safe and pleasant and a taxi only costs 10 dirhams (less than £1) each way and they were always easy to get. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for similar travellers to ourselves, however those not visiting Essaouira for water sports purposes may prefer a more central location to the medina.
