Private River Cabin with Playground, Fishing, Mountain View, Hot tub
If you want a true mountain get away experience while still in luxury this is the place. This is not just any old house placed in the mountains. This is a HUGE A Frame cabin converted in to a luxury mountain escape. The house is loaded with authentic experiences such as fallen trees from the property placed inside that actually hold the house up and spiral staircases fabricated onsite from the same trees. Most of the furniture was made locally and the floors are cut at a local saw mill with the old fashion circular saw leaving beautiful character behind. In addition to the comfortable mountain experience the house is loaded with Luxuries. The kitchen has brand new professional appliances and stocked with every item you would need to serve a 5 course dinner or quickly make a simple P&J sandwich. The bathrooms are truly like going to a spa. There are marble shower walls, over sized soaking tubs and all high end fixtures with rain can showers throughout. Firewood provided seasonally. Playground outside for the kids. No pets allowed. Free wifi.
We have 3 other cabins close by. Check them out on VRBO as well, #233335, 3264751 and 120551. All 3 of these other cabins are next door to each other.

Our family loved the cabin! It was clean, comfortable and had plenty of amenities that made everyone happy. We would highly recommend staying here. The views were incredible too!
This is the second time we’ve stayed at this house, and we had a blast. We enjoyed going to downtown Ellijay and then eating dinner on the porch at the cabin. This year we found two vineyards a mile from the house which was fun! We can’t wait to go back next year!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. The scenery is beautiful (especially out the back of the cabin!), though it’s not far from town it felt remote and private and the cabin itself easily accommodated our family of 12. Communication was great, check in was easy and seamless and we will definitely be back!
I enjoyed the beautiful view of the river from high atop the hill in a well taken care of and fully loaded cabin. My family will definitely rent this cabin again.
Took my family to this location for a quick weekend getaway. The home, lot, and river access were amazing.
Kitchen was upscale and very nice. Unit was very clean. Easy host to work with.
Gorgeous, well maintained, comfortable, beautifully situated, immaculately clean, and so many other wonderful things! I can't wait to go back! The water, the land, the fire, the hot tub, all of it was just perfect for our girls weekend.
Used the cabin for a getaway mountain weekend with some girlfriends, the space was BEAUTIFUL and exactly as described. It was very clean and accommodating, and had many places to hang out. It was very close to nearby wineries as well, which was great for us. The owner was very responsive as well! Would absolutely stay again!
Beautiful property in the mountains, the cabin has large windows we felt surrounded by trees. The kitchen was well stocked, there is a cabinet full of games for the kids. Comfy beds, plenty of space, saw deer from the kitchen, the sunsets were stunning. Great activities close by, we picked apples at BJ Reece and visited Monteluce winery.
Enjoyed our stay in early November! The house itself is well stocked and laid out conveniently for two couples and our two babies (under 1) who needed their own space for early bedtimes. We didn’t use the fire pit or decks outdoors as the weather didn’t allow but walked down to the river every morning with our coffee. We will definitely be back!
This cabin was the perfect place for a getaway with kids. The playground was such a nice addition— we had to beg my son to get off it every night. It’s a steep hike to the river, but a beautiful view. Cabin was clean, functional, and exceeded expectations.
We loved our stay! Home was beautiful with gorgeous views. We enjoyed the river - definitely recommend driving down not walking. Close to Walmart in Elijay and blue ridge. Beds were very comfortable - even the bunk beds. Had some issues getting communication as I thought emails were junk mail, but other than that everything was great. Would stay here again!
Loved the house. Beautiful wood accents with a unique staircase. Even with two rainy days there was spaces to hang out. The house is located close to downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge and we enjoy antiquing and shopping. Watch for deer, they were plentiful on the road to the house.
This is the second time I have stayed at this beautiful home. It remains a stunning property. On arrival, we learned that there was no heat due to HVAC malfunction. The owner supplied space heaters and complimentary fire wood, making himself readily available should we be uncomfortable, which we were not. This home provides for a perfect, relaxing fall getaway. The owners are kind and responsive. We will be back.
We met up with our adult children and their spouses from Atlanta. This home had very comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen with gourmet pots and pans. We enjoyed the screened in porch and deck with beautiful views. However, the time on the river was the best. The comfortable seating down by the river allowed our family to read and play cards while some tried their hand at fly fishing.
We weathered Hurricane Helene at the cabin and was still able to explore Ellijay and go apple picking. My teenage daughter, three of her friends and I stayed for two nights. The cabin is clean and the beds are comfortable. The location is great for several orchards and proximity to downtown Ellijay. Even with the power out- we were fine. Board games and hide-and-go seek… we will be back.
This house is great for a family of all adults! Very peaceful and well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed having the hot tub as well! My only 2 complaints were the number of bath towels available, and the table on the screen porch was so dirty with pollen we couldn’t use it - and it was perfect weather to do so). I do understand pollen season in Georgia, but it would’ve been nice to have had it cleaned before we got here. Overall great place and I would stay here again 😊
A wonderful experience. The house was perfect for everyone to spend time together, but also spread out for quiet moments. The river is a small hike down a hill but worth the trek...maybe not up too many times.
Kitchen had what we needed, fridge didn't offer water...not a problem though.
Beautiful and relaxing environment.
This is a lovely cabin with a spectacular view. It is very comfortably furnished and has a cozy feel. However River Cabin is not handicap friendly as the stone steps leading down from the parking area to the cabin do not have a handrail. Neither do the outside steps to the lower level. If you have mobility issues, this cabin is not for you.
The place was absolutely breathtaking, and you were not stuck in a subdivision with lots of other cabins. It was secluded and quiet, and we really enjoyed the peacefulness. The property had everything that you could’ve needed to make any gourmet meal you wanted there. we have been to multiple cabins in the past where kitchen utensils and appliances were subpar, but this place had it all! The only downfall was the steps down to the cabin, and this was my fault for not doing more research. They were very tough to navigate for my sister-in-law who uses a walker. Overall, the kids had a wonderful time playing in the woods and on the play set. They wanted to be outside from the time they woke up to the time they went to bed. They really enjoyed the creek and fishing my son caught many crawfish with his net. They even would push their tubes up the stream a little bit and come down the falls. The kids did not want to leave! And requested that we come again next year.
The home is beautiful, located in a gorgeous location. The rooms were spacious with enough storage to stay comfortably for a week. We enjoyed the firepit and large living area.
