Dont let the location and age fool you

Quaint little hotel with an emphasis on safety and temodeling. Lots of outdoor lights and cameras and very effective black out blinds. Locked office with quick response to buzzer. Coffee, hot and cold filtered water muffins and fruit available. Ice and other amenities in a key only room.

Staff was very kind. I had made a mistake when booking and he was able to help me fix it and was able to give me the online price instead of the extra fees. For pets, there was an extra 35$ fee, so keep that in mind. Room was clean but pillows were quite thin. It was acceptable for a pet friendly room. The only issues i had was the towels had some stains on it that looked like they hadnt come out during a previous wash and the airconditioner couldn't keep up with the heat.

Older but clean and quiet!

This is an older motel, and “you get what you pay for.” The American Inn was the best deal we could find in Elko. The host was friendly, the room was quiet and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Water leaked out of both taps in the bathroom sink when using hot or cold water, which I think could be fairly easily fixed by cleaning the aeriators. We just kept a washcloth around the taps to soak up the leaking water. The continental breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, with only a few selections (one type of cold cereal, yogurt, very small muffins, apples, bananas, juice) and a coffee machine that could be updated. However, we were very grateful for how quiet our room was. We slept well!

Fast and Reliable Internet

The internet was fast speed and helped me get my work done without issue. The room was clean. The only negative was that there was no available electric outlet near the desk. I fortunately had a long extension that was just long enough to stretch across the room to power my computer and electronics so I could get my work done.

This is an older property but is well maintained and rooms are clean, no scents, and great to not have carpets (newer vinyl plank floor in main area) Grout in bathroom tile could use a thorough scrub, but floor itself was clean. A nice friendly couple runs this motel. Felt safe, parking well lit, and was quiet.

Property was old and very outdated. We did not realize we needed to notify for daily room service. When we asked for clean towels, we were made to feel like an inconvenience, but were delivered within 5 min. Air conditioner blew right on our heads. Pillows paper thin. Shower tiny like a phone booth with very low fixture. Toilet was miniature and very low height. Upside: Room was clean, but very small and crowded. We had booked king bed but were given 2 queens.

the room appeared to be clean, I didn't find any bed bugs, and the mattress was comfortable; the front door dead bolt didn't work, the toilet had an actual foot pedal flush, and the general appearance of the room was old and run down. In the morning, I had to ring the overnight doorbell to be let into the lobby for "breakfast" even though it was after 7:30 am. The coffee maker was not working and all of the juice and milk were in open, multi use containers, so I had a cup of water and we left. If you are desperate just to pull over and sleep for the night, this place meets minimum cleanliness and comfort standards
