The sleigh bed and size of the bed was nice. It can be hard to find this in Scotland. I wouldn’t say Elgin was our favorite spot in our 2 weeks in Scotland, and this hotel was average with a cool old feel. The breakfast was nice. The shower and room a little outdated but suited our needs for one night. Probably not a spot I would stay for more than one night.
Parking was easy, check in was easy.
Really cool place to stay and the breakfast was great. They had the normal grab and go stuff and a hot breakfast included in the price. They even made sure to ask if I was vegan or not. It’s the first hotel I’ve staying in a while where the room had a bed and pillows that were perfect, a shower that was perfect, and actual tv channels so we could watch a movie at night. Staff were super friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent place to stay in the area.

Clean and tidy room. Well appointed. Very comfy sleigh bed (so good to have a bed I fit in, as I’m 6 foot 6 inches tall.
Will definitely stay again when I’m up in Elgin
Breakfast was enjoyed by the 4 of us. Rooms clean and all staff very friendly and efficient. No problem at all about the parking. Snooker room was a surprise and used and enjoyed by the men.
A charming historic mansion within strolling distance of Elgin's main town centre. Well preserved, an interesting waltz into the past, comfortable lounge and games area. Wonderful dinner service and a super friendly and informative waiter. We were well cared for. Our room was a generous size and comfortable.

Staff was fantastic, breakfast was great, location was super nice.
Excellent stay. The property was wonderful and we could walk to a good bit of dining and shops. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was really good!
Excellent hotel…staff so friendly. I forgot a gold ring in the hotel room after check out and Yola from housekeeping was kind enough to help me find it.
This hotel was full of character a bit tired in parts of it but thats understandable due to how old it is.The rooms were very spacious & spotless,my only concern was the shower in the bath it was a bit difficult to get in & out of it.The breakfast was outstanding & the service was 1st class. We only stayed for 1 night so we didnt get to explore much. Its only a 5min walk from the towncentre plenty of pubs & restaurants.
Charming Stay at Mansion House Elgin
We recently stayed at Mansion House Elgin and were thoroughly impressed. The hotel is conveniently located just a short stroll from the town centre, making it ideal for exploring local shops and attractions. On-site parking was a huge plus.
Our room was spacious, well appointed, and very comfortable, with a massive bed that guaranteed a great night's sleep. The breakfast was excellent, offering a generous selection of hot and cold options.
Service throughout our stay was warm and attentive. The staff were friendly, professional, and always happy to help. Overall, Mansion House Elgin provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Elgin was a wonderful town with great access to Speyside area, and this property was a nice /a good stay especially due to the wonderful staff but the property is in need of some updates and walking into town for restaurants involved crossing several roads (not ideal for traveling with kids or elderly). Worth the stay.
