"As a father traveling with my wife & 2 adult daughters, we reserved 2 rooms next to each other. From the start, the experience was unsettling. During check‑in, Raul was passive‑aggressive & spoke down to us. We had made an error on the reservation — 1 room was booked for 6 nights instead of 7 - we were fully willing to pay for the extra night. Raul said he could fix it, but his body language & tone were anything but welcoming. He took over 45 minutes to process the change. He also told us the hotel “strongly recommends” guests turn in their room keys every time they leave. His explanation — a confusing story about a man following a woman inside — raised more concerns than reassurance. Breakfast felt unsafe; someone was coughing heavily while preparing food. Signs throughout the hotel stated that although housekeeping only comes every 4 days, but staff still enters rooms daily “for safety.” I’m attaching a picture of the policy posted in the elevator. The most troubling incident involved Raul ignoring a Do Not Disturb sign. After my daughters reported smoke from another room (only so they wouldn’t be charged), he insisted multiple times on changing their towels even though they declined. Later, my wife saw him entering their room with the DND sign displayed. He told her he had the authority to override it. This was alarming. If one of my daughters had been showering or alone, the situation could have been far worse."
